We know the Columbus Blue Jackets first hit the ice in 2000, so why is there a logo here marked 1999? Let me explain. The "bug logo" was featured on the shoulders of the team's uniforms for several years from their inception — sans the wordmark part. The version of the logo with the wordmark was used in promotional items and ads for the team prior to their inaugural season. I could've just used the bug-only version but I went with this one instead. Wish I had a better reason for you. Let your voices be heard!

Obviously this will be another controversial poll as I've already heard the argument that the 1978 graphic isn't a logo but rather a striping design. But just to reiterate, you guys chose what was going to be involved in this tournament — not me. The reason I'm letting it slide, however, is that it's featured on the front of the jersey prominently enough to consider it somewhat of a secondary logo design. To each his own. Happy voting!
