New unis for the Sabres? Again? I thought they were finished trying to be the new Canucks!
Anything but going back to the originals, or WC jersey, will be a waste.

I really don't like the Flames' jerseys. I've opined before about the black C - even more dumbfounding when you consider that their campaign is based on the "'C' of Red".
The Flames looked awesome in the classic sweaters last night. IT's a shame they're only bringing them out for four more games this year. And that anniversary logo is just outright FUGLY. Should they make the Finals, though, they'd probably replace the anny logo with the Finals patch. (Speaking of which, I have to wonder why they didn't just put the patch on the Red Wings' shoulders the last two years, like the Flames and Habs in '89, or the Rangers in '94?)
The Oilers unis just make me sad. The half-stripes on the sleeves only work if they're positioned around the numbers - the 1991-99 (North) Stars black jerseys are a good example. Since they're at the elbows on the Oilers' jerseys, they look half-assed. (Florida uses the same basic design, but having the contrasting red sleeve panel makes that design slightly better.) I'd like to see the Oilers go to their 80s-style sweaters full-time.
The Edge design would be helped greatly if they dumped the shirt-tail design and went with the classic straight-cut look. They are supposed to be SWEATERS, after all - have YOU ever worn a non-hockey SWEATER that had that kind of shirt tail? No? Me neither.
I honestly don't get all the hate for the edge jerseys. Granted some teams' designs are ugly and/or lazy, but that's not Reebok's fault. The Flames and Oilers retro jerseys look dated, not classic. They look like costumes, not uniforms. Unlike the Sabres and Islanders, who look sharp in their retros.
I personally don't see a reason to dislike the Oilers retro jersey....in fact, I don't see how anyone can like a jersey more than the Oilers.....It's perfect! I am really hoping that they decide to go with the white vintage jerseys too, or what would be amazing, is if they went with the old WHA orange jerseys!!!
