In 2007, the NHL enters into a contract with Reebok which sees the jersey manufacturer implement a new uniform system across the league. Most teams take the opportunity to redesign their uniforms in some manner and seven clubs debut new logos. The Boston Bruins, Ottawa Senators, Washington Capitals, Vancouver Canucks, Tampa Bay Lightning, San Jose Sharks, and Columbus Blue Jackets each have new primary marks.

2007 - the year that the nhl made the biggest mistake ever when they signed the reebok deal!!! bring back ccm & creative freedom (as well as the ability to actually wear a jersey in comfort) instead of rbk's limited available designs, terrible level of product quality & of course the incredibly uncomfortable 'snug' fit!!!

@JERSEYMAN, dude agree with you 100%!! I own a size 54 CCM Authentic 1992 HOME WHITE Pgh Penguins Mario Lemieux (Pens 25yr, Badger Bob and Stanley Cup patches), I can wear a XXL sweatshirt underneath it and still be comfortable. My wife owns a size 56 (the lady at the Civic Arena said the RBK Authentics are sized differently than the CCM, so we bought a size bigger) RBK "GARBAGE" Edge Authentic 2008 Road white Pgh Penguins Marc Andre Fleury and if I wear a XXL sweatshirt underneath it I look like the Stay Puft Marshmellow man. Hey Reebok, these are Hockey jerseys (sweaters) not football jerseys, they are supposed to be baggy.

This is where I disagree. There not suppose to be baggy, you're just not wearing all the equipment that goes under them. I like my edge jersey because it fits me like a shirt, not this giant loose thing that's makes me look like a slob in too big clothing.

Insert random generic whining about how Reebok is ruining the NHL even though they didn't force any of the teams to change their designs.

I seem to recall NYR, NJ, and MON keeping the exact designs they had before the change, as well as several other teams. I have over 30 jerseys in my collection, both CCM and Reebok, and the Reebok ones are much more comfortable to....wait for it because this is outside the box thinking....play HOCKEY IN.

If you want the jersey to just wear casually, get the Premier, not the Pro Weight Edge jersey.

I can wear a 2XL sweatshirt with a 54 Edge jersey and still feel comfortable, then again if you wear a sweatshirt under a jersey wouldn't the point to be as warm and snug as possible? Are they snug compared to a 52 or larger CCM? Yes but I love the Edge jerseys, the only complaint I have is that the Edge jerseys are not long enough. I feel like I'm going to out grow my size 54 Ducks jerseys. Then again I live in California so there is never a need to wear a sweatshirt under a jersey, except at my first Ducks game I had to wear 2 2XL shirts under my 2010 Ducks jersey because of the awful rain we were having.
