I vote devils.. and, to tell the truth, the more I look at it, the more I like it, and there are actually very few logos that I like, as a pure, unadulterated logo, more than the Devils'

Unfortunately, I'm in a huge minority here, and realize it.. So I salute you Devils, for making it to the third round.

I agree artymous...Both are quality logos...I think NJ is a little more clever and defintely gets props but Montreal is a time tested look and should take the win.

jersey is more creative but canadiens has just more appeal to it.

voted devils but am positive canadiens will win.

nothing against the habs because they have a classic and time tested logo, but i have to give this one to nj based on both the creativity and simplicity. i don't think the devils get enough credit

... still weird that, although all the comments are in NJ's favor, Mtl is leading by 40%... Voted for the Habs, although I also the the Devils logo.

Good thing the anti-Habs movement isn't as widespread as Leafs hate or their logo might undeservedly lose this round.

i think its a lack of a Devils message board on NHL.com that deprives the Devs for having more votes.

The Canadiens Logo has a great tradition and I would strongly recommend them not to change it, but if an expansion team came up with a logo like that I would think what the hell were they thinking? If you put tradition aside and just compare logos one to one, you have to go with the NJ logo, it’s simply better

hey chris! just heard you on cbc radio. great chat you had w/ the other guys.

for the poll, i have mixed feelings. The more i look at the devils logo, the more i like it. But the habs also have a classic and original logo which also intrigues me.

Its funny that the Canadiens often get knocked for their logo being a couple of letters, but thats what the Devils (essentially) is. Tough call, but I have a rule against voting for anyone that Gretzky calls a "Mickey-Mouse organization" haha. Habs get the vote.

I had to give the edge to NJ because not only do they incorporate the NJ in the logo like the canadiens incorporate the CH in theirs but I like the colors better and they incorporate the devil into the logo which ties into the local Jersey Devil legend. THis was a tough one for me. Cool vs. Classic.

As a Flyers fan, I hate the Devils with a burning passion. Actually, I don't think hate is a strong enough word, although I'm starting to hate the Penguins and Sabres almost as much because their fans, along with a certain baby-faced player on the Pens are so annoying and obnoxious. But I digress.

Even with my hatred for the Devils, their logo is still better. Regardless of how old it is.

How old the Canadiens log is.

The Habs' "CH" logo is to hockey what the Yankees' "NY" logo is to hockey: simple and elegant. A testament to the notion that less is more.

Sep 6 · 4:38 PM PDT | Unregistered CommenterPatrick

I didn't know the Yankees even played hockey. It would shock the world to see A-Rod or Jeter in a pair of skates.

Sep 7 · 5:22 AM PDT | Unregistered CommenterWar&Defense

Wow, the way I see this tournament going, it will be the Sens and the Habs in the 4th round for the East. And in the West, it'll be the Oilers against the Canucks. And what d'ya know.. all Canadian :P lol.

Like others said, if the Canadiens logo were used by an expansion team today, it would be almost universally bashed. Also, the "C" & "H" stand for "Club de Hockey", not 'Canadiens' & 'Habitants' like many think. It's an alright logo when looking in pure perspective, but it doesn't fully encompass the team like the Devils logo does. One small monogram gives the team location as well as the team's nickname, without blatantly stating that inside of the logo (i.e. Toronto & Washington).

This vote goes to New Jersey...

I think its unfair that the Canadians are getting all the votes because thier logo is "vintage" this is supposed to be a tournament of the best and most creative logos not the most "classic". I believe NJ has the best logo in hokey and its sucks they will be eliminated due to it not being "around long enough"

Sep 9 · 8:50 AM PDT | Unregistered CommenterTrevor

Actually, the Habs logo is CHC, red C, white H, white C ... Club du Hockey Canadien.

Voted Habs.
Best ... logo ... ever.

Sep 10 · 4:23 PM PDT | Unregistered Commenterhabfan14120

Even if I like the Devils logo, the Habs logo is just too strong... Its a timeless logo. Same categorie as the Yankees, General Electric, Ford...

I vote Canadien de Montréal!!

Go Habs GO!!!

Tough call, and I'm no Devil's fan, but I've loved that logo since day one. Especially when some self righteous bible beater wants to change the name. I vote for the Devils - just a cool logo (nothing against Montreal's time-tested and quality logo either).

Too bad NJ couldn't go against a more modern logo like the crap they put out in Ottawa!
