WHL Logo Pool

Nearly 700 votes were cast in the poll to determine which CHL league would be first in the series logo tournaments. The majority of you chose the WHL. Here are the 22 logos that will be used in this tournament, which starts tomorrow.

I tried to match all of the logos to each team's official web site. So they should all be accurate. However, minor league teams can be difficult in terms of logos. If you find any inaccuracies, make your case in the comments below. If we can catch a mistake before polls are posted, the logos can be corrected. Once a logo appears in a poll, I cannot make any changes.

Enjoy the WHL Tournament of Logos!

I have no attachment to any of the teams here, but my picks are the Hitmen and the Oil Kings.

I think the regina pats is a bit off.

Go Warriors, but I thought there was black somewhere in their logo. I'm just from there, I'm in ontario now, so i could easily be wrong.

I think the Chilliwack Bruins' logo is deeper in gold than yellow.

I have some favs in there. The Everett/Red Deer/Prince Albert/Swift Current. But the NHL ripoffs (Chilliwack/Portland) are just plain unoriginal.

I suggest maybe verifying with the rosters on whl.ca. When you go to each teams roster page the logo appears at the top. For example here's the correct Moose Jaw Warriors logo.

Chilliwack's logo is actually taken from the old team...the New Westminster Bruins from years ago...which was a straight up Bruins logo. So they kept the same design, but made it a 'C'.

And as for Portlands, I can't remember the story completely, but back whenever, they had troubles with money or something or other, and to make a probably long story short, in the end, the Chicago Blackhawks helped the team out by sending them jerseys and perhaps helping with other stuff as well. Don't quote me on that, but it's along those lines. They've just kept the same uni's and logo ever since.

Let's go Portland! It'll be the only thing the team's won this year!

(And in their defense, they DO have another logo they use on a lot of stuff- the P with crossed tomahawks... it just looks more like a baseball logo)

Just letting you guys know, I'm updating the Regina Pats logo to reflect the version they wear now. Also, a lot of you have mentioned the Warriors being white instead of red.

I don't like doing white or black boxes, so the only other option would be to have a red logo on a red box. You wouldn't be able to see the logo. So I'm sticking with the white. I hope everybody will be all right with that.

That's all!

My prediction is one of these teams will be crowned worst logo: Moose Jaw Warriors, Prince George Cougars or Medicine Hat Tigers. These are butt ugly logos.

In my opinion the logos in the WHL to be crowned best logo should be:

- Prince Albert Raiders (update this logo ans it's a kick ass)

- Red Deer Rebels

- Regina Pats (Classic)

- Saskatoon Blades (If they take off Blades Saskatoon from their logo)

- Seattle Thunderbirds (Best logo)

- Spokane Chiefs (2nd best, if updated; best in the league)
