Bergeron Dons Bs' New Third?

A new video on TSN.ca appears to show Patrice Bergeron in what could be the Bruins' new third jersey — or something close to it.

First, a few stills from the video.

If you go watch the video — which is titled "Road to Recovery" — you'll find a few seconds of him skating in this jersey around 2:35.

Now, some background. Back in February, I posted a video clip from an NESN broadcast that showed a guy skating around in what was described as a third jersey "finalist" for the Bruins. Despite wearing a Bergeron jersey, it was not Bergeron. Here are some stills from that video.

The differences between these two jerseys are fairly obvious. Notice the crest. On the TSN video, there's a white stroke around the logo. Not so on the NESN video. There's also a yellow stripe around the bottom of the NESN jersey while there are no stripes on the bottom of the TSN jersey.

Just some things to think about as we anticipate the Boston Bruins' new alternate sweater. No word yet on when we should expect it. Thanks to Steve for the tip.

Interesting, Nothing major really, still a sharp jersey, even if I do hate them, and they have BenchRyder

I think we have the real deal. I guess after the many finalists they've chosen one. I guess the Bruins Jersey won't need very much introduction...At least to us. Probably will be introduced at a home game soon to come.

I'm almost positive that the TSN video clip is actually from around the same time as the original NESN one. i remember seeing it when bergy started skating again late in the season. also, in that original vid there was one that didnt have the gold on the bottom, but it didnt have the white around the logo. either way, it looks like it'll be one of those. i like the NESN one with the gold better

Remember on the original NESN one they showed him skating around in two different jerseys- one with stripe, one without. They called them both finalists. I'm rather disappointed they chose the one without the stripe, but we knew it was going to be one or the other. Only new thing here is the white border.

I wish they had gone with a Bobby Orr era yellow myself though.

Also, that logo does not belong as a primary, IMO.

Making a lot of big assumptions here. First, we don't know which of the "finalists" the Bruins chose or even if they've made a decision yet. I doubt this is new video of Bergeron. It's the middle of the offseason.

As Adam said, it's likely this video is from around the same time as the original. I'm only posting it now because it's the first time I'm seeing it.

Plus, they aren't making it the primary logo, they're just using the secondary on the front of the jersey. Big difference.

And I'm sorry if it seems like I'm calling you out man, but I just didn't want other people reading to get misinformation.

I think by calling it a primary he meant just as the main logo on that particular jersey. at any rate, like i said, i think this is an older video that i saw breifly near the end of the season, and TSN just used it now. it's possibley just a different version like the other two. i'm hoping they go for one the others, but we'll see.

It was Nokelainen skating in Bergerons jersey. They said it boiled down to two jerseys. One with a yellow stripe on the bottom, and one without.
