Coyotes To Unveil Third Saturday

The Phoenix Coyotes have announced their intentions to unveil their new alternate sweater on Saturday, November 22. It will happen during the first intermission of the television broadcast of the Coyotes-Flyers game on AZ-TV.

From the official release:

The Coyotes will debut the new third jersey at Jobing.com Arena in Glendale on Friday, Nov. 28 when the team hosts the Colorado Avalanche at 2 p.m. The new third jersey will also be available for purchase at the Coyotes Den team store at the Nov. 28 game.

Icethetics broke the original leak last month and we've since come across many more pre-release photos.

This weekend is going to be the busiest yet in terms of third jersey news. On Friday, we've got the Sharks doing their unveiling. On Saturday, they're debuting it along with the Kings and Senators. On Sunday, the Lightning are likely unveiling theirs. And the final official unveiling will be the Bruins' alternate on Monday.

So it's not like we'll be running out of new content anytime soon.

Teams love debuting their new thirds against the Avs, why is that?

So this means that we could potentially get the NHL 09 jersey code on Monday? That sounds amazing, though it'll probably be later than that by at least a few days.

I think the Coyotes jerseys are really going to be a sleeper favorite once they add some 'sand' colored numbers. I can't wait to see how those pop.

all I'm looking forward to now is the code for NHL 09 to release all the third jersey's. I hope you will be able to post the code for us.

Does anyone have NHL 09 for PS2? I still see the old orange third for the NYI.

Avs have the worst color combination in the league, by far, and no matter how bad your third jersey are, they look like a million bucks compared to the Av's, that's why. Actually its probably just fluke, but the Av's do suck! Bring back the Colordo Rockies vinatage jerseys!

Man, what are you going to do then, Chris. You have been focusing on alternate jerseys for so long, It will be a little disappointing when it's over.

Wow, what a bad way to end the 3rd jersey hysteria... unveiling a jersey that we already saw (Bruins)

maybe we can do what you did with the rbk jersey release a couple of years ago. Everyone rate each one, then have them all compared to each other and so on. I liked that

I think Phoenix has the best color scheme in the league. I really like this jersey, but I am getting kind of sick of all the black jerseys in the league. it seems like everyone thinks black will make them look better.

YAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWNNNNNNNNNN.........

Goodie. More black jerseys.

Off the top of my head, here's some teams that turn the cheek to creativity and like to go the always cliche'd "back in black":

Carolina, San Jose, Phoenix, Chicago, LA, Ottawa, Anaheim, Tampa Bay, Pittsburgh, Dallas, Boston

If I miss any, I'll throw up in my mouth for them later. Right now I need to brush my teeth.
