Classic Bruins Jersey Coming Soon

The Boston Bruins will unveil their 2010 Winter Classic jersey next Thursday at the State of the Bruins event. The B's unveiled their new third jersey at last year's event.

The announcement was made in an email sent only to season ticket holders just this afternoon. According to the message, those in attendance "will get an exclusive first look at the 2009-2010 Winter Classic jersey."

The event will take place September 17 at 6:30 PM.

This news comes just a day after the Philadelphia Flyers announced their own plans to give fans a preview of their special outdoor jerseys this Friday. Check back here at Icethetics both nights for pictures of the new sweaters.

Last year it was an "official leak", while the unveiling was actually at a later date. I'm tempted to believe this is something similar.

I dunno, Jacques-Andre, I don't think they'd put the jersey up for pre-sale without some solid looks at it.

Last year they didnt offer third presales at The State of the Bruins.

It's the yellow one! Is it just me, or does the screenshot show Tim Thomas wearing a jersey with yellow shoulders?

Thats because the current home has a yellow shoulder yoke.

Plus, if it was the yellow one then the shoulders would be black. Personally, I'm hoping for a brown jersey.

The yellow's one kinda cool. Definately different.
I'm with Alex..... hoping for a brown scheme.
Most of these versions we're talking about are already out there, produced by CCM
in their Heritage Line of sweaters.

I dont believe that it will be the white one becuase the Flyers are wearing white. I would put my money on them wearing the yellow one!
