New Season, New Stuff
Monday · Oct 4 · 2010 | 10:51 AM PDTThe NHL season begins this week and it's bringing with it lots of new updates to Icethetics. I have a blog update regarding the Kings scheduled for late tonight or tomorrow. Until then, here's what's new:
- Vote! Week 3 of NHL All-Star logo tournament started today. This is the last round of voting before the playoffs so get on over and cast your votes.
- IceHL The IceHL is back! And the first thing our fantasy league needs is a logo of its own. Click on the IceHL tab for details on how to submit your artwork.
- Fantasy The IceHL is taking on a life of its own this season. Over the weekend, 20 lucky Icethetics fans were given IceHL teams to manage this season in the first ever IceHL fantasy hockey league. IceHL GMs will be offering their insights on the fantasy blog all season. But if you want raw stats and scores, visit the IceHL League Office at ESPN.com.
So what else is on the horizon this week?
- Blog update: A few fans have caught a glimpse of some Los Angeles Kings prototype jerseys. I'll have pictures and details to share tonight or Tuesday morning.
- Blog update: Third jerseys have returned to the Canadian Hockey League with a vengeance. This may require two posts this week — with lots of pictures!
- Plus, there will be new concept art this week. Count on it!
As you can see, I'm planning to keep myself and Icethetics very busy as the season gets going on Thursday. So check back often!

what about the Blue Jackets thirds? Why is it that the only thing this team is good at is keeping jerseys from leaking

and when and where should we submit IceHL jersey concepts?

Banshee, I hear you about Columbus but I kind of like that there's at least one jersey that will be a surprise. Christmas presents are always better on Christmas morning.
Jack, to see the IceHL logos just go to the Fantasy page and scroll down. You'll see them. And I'll start taking jersey submissions in a couple of weeks after we get an IceHL league logo. I'll make logos available for the jersey designers at that time.
