Update from the Road
Just wanted to drop in and give you guys a status update. I'm in Arizona right now. Saw the Grand Canyon today. Should be in Seattle by Wednesday. Very much enjoying this leisurely drive across America. Can't think of anything I'd rather be doing. Anyway, regular updates should resume after next weekend (going to see the Lightning in Vancouver next Saturday). Thanks for sticking it out!
Another brief update here. I've been here in Seattle about a week now and still getting settled in. Need a desk, for one thing, so I have a place to set up my computer. But as I've said, by Christmas time things should be back to normal on the blog. And boy will we have some things to talk about... such as Columbus dumping their new thirds after four games because of superstition!

SIIIICK ill see ya at the game should be a barnburner! along with some emotions with nazzys number being retired
It's a shame you have to go to a hockey game in Vancouver to see the Sedin Sisters. If you ever want to come to a real hockey town, Edmonton isn't that far away!
You actually got tickets to that game? Impressive. A warning, though - if you wear your Bolts jersey, don't act all too surprised when the drunken lunatic tries to attack you. Here in Vancouver, we're serious about hockey.
Be safe!
good luck up in the Great Northwest!
Something you'll never forget Chris! Enjoy it! We'll keep checking in ;)
Whoohoo! I'm waiting patiently.
Glad you're enjoying the drive cross country; stay safe!
Always wanted to make a trip via car from NY to CA, maybe soon haha
take your time. Enjoy your trip!
Sounds like a cool trip. Good luck the rest of the way. Should be nice seeing the Lightning all the way on the other side of the continent.
Glad your enjoying the move! Van/Tampa should be a good one!
I'm going to see the grand canyon on tues. I'm super geeked. Also hoping to catch a Coyotes game on sat. Congrats on your new job good to see things on your road trip are going so well.

Let's go Canucks! STANLEY CUP CHAMPIONS 2011!!
Enjoy Chris.
And you didn't stop by for a beer? Sheesh.
I live in Vancouver. You'll love Rogers Arena.
Well it only seems fitting that you of all people would attend that game.... apart from it being a Lightning game, there's going to be a jersey retirement ceremony for Markus Naslund's #19.
Nice! That's Markus Naslund's number retirement night!! there will be a big ceremony.... followed by a Canucks victory
Great that you managed to get tickets to the Lightning game in Vancouver!
You got tickets?!?!?!
Drive safe Chris. Look forward to seeing more updates when you get settled in.
I'll be at the game on Saturday too, and I'm not sure if you're aware... But the Canucks are asking for all fans to be in their seats by 6pm PST as they will be holding the jersey retirement ceremony for Markus Naslund at that time. Welcome to the Pacific Northwest!(when you get here)
that's awesome, you'll catch the naslund jersey retirement. i'll be there too! enjoy.
chris,
hope the travels are going well!
i'll be at the game saturday as well, it's going to be amazing!
You will love Seattle, very nice city. We should have a jersey design competition for Seattle.
Driving cross-country was one of the greatest things I've ever done. I was amazed by the views driving through Arizona, New Mexico and into California.
Will you join a grunge band in Seattle?
I kid, I kid.
Clearly, if Seattle gets an NHL team, they should just revive the old Metropolitans jerseys :D
Disagree, If Seatle gets an NHL franchise. They should revive the Totems Jerseys.
Don't forget about the Everblades Christmas jerseys...Those were interesting to say the least
Which Totems jersey? The Green ones, or the hideous red/blue ones with the number on the front? The green ones are pretty sweet
