Update from the Road

Just wanted to drop in and give you guys a status update. I'm in Arizona right now. Saw the Grand Canyon today. Should be in Seattle by Wednesday. Very much enjoying this leisurely drive across America. Can't think of anything I'd rather be doing. Anyway, regular updates should resume after next weekend (going to see the Lightning in Vancouver next Saturday). Thanks for sticking it out!

It's a shame you have to go to a hockey game in Vancouver to see the Sedin Sisters. If you ever want to come to a real hockey town, Edmonton isn't that far away!

You actually got tickets to that game? Impressive. A warning, though - if you wear your Bolts jersey, don't act all too surprised when the drunken lunatic tries to attack you. Here in Vancouver, we're serious about hockey.

Dec 5 · 11:33 AM PST | Unregistered CommenterMark

Well it only seems fitting that you of all people would attend that game.... apart from it being a Lightning game, there's going to be a jersey retirement ceremony for Markus Naslund's #19.

Dec 5 · 12:17 PM PST | Unregistered CommenterD

Nice! That's Markus Naslund's number retirement night!! there will be a big ceremony.... followed by a Canucks victory

I'll be at the game on Saturday too, and I'm not sure if you're aware... But the Canucks are asking for all fans to be in their seats by 6pm PST as they will be holding the jersey retirement ceremony for Markus Naslund at that time. Welcome to the Pacific Northwest!(when you get here)

Dec 6 · 11:48 AM PST | Unregistered CommenterShaun

You will love Seattle, very nice city. We should have a jersey design competition for Seattle.

Dec 7 · 8:12 PM PST | Unregistered CommenterGraeme

Driving cross-country was one of the greatest things I've ever done. I was amazed by the views driving through Arizona, New Mexico and into California.

Will you join a grunge band in Seattle?

I kid, I kid.

Dec 12 · 12:56 PM PST | Unregistered Commenterjohnny griswold

Clearly, if Seattle gets an NHL team, they should just revive the old Metropolitans jerseys :D

Dec 14 · 9:53 AM PST | Unregistered CommenterTaoiseach

Disagree, If Seatle gets an NHL franchise. They should revive the Totems Jerseys.

Dec 16 · 5:17 PM PST | Unregistered CommenterCosmicMonkey

Don't forget about the Everblades Christmas jerseys...Those were interesting to say the least

Dec 17 · 4:53 AM PST | Unregistered CommenterSwooshfinn

Which Totems jersey? The Green ones, or the hideous red/blue ones with the number on the front? The green ones are pretty sweet
