Sens Share Another Heritage Teaser

Just a little something to warm you up for the official unveiling tomorrow. The Ottawa Senators posted this picture on their website's splash page yesterday. They're really showing all their cards, aren't they? Though they did already confirm what's been previously posted on this blog.

Anyway, they're going to look really good in these Heritage Jerseys this year. Anyone going to Puck Drop tomorrow? Feel free to share some photos.

Just a note as well for those interested in buying - I contacted the Sens store a few weeks ago and they weren't sure, but today I got a definitive answer: only the premiere replicas are being released tomorrow, not the authentics. So I am sad and will be holding on to my dollars until the authentic gets released. I was really hoping to pick up an Authentic tomorrow and then promptly hand it right back to get Alfredsson's name and numbers put on it. Oh well!

You know what's missing from that picture?

Helmet number smack-dab on his head... sigh

This is by far the most beautiful jersey in the NHL since the dawn of the Edge jersey in 2007. Wow it is a classic, old-school look with great colors and a simple, yet snazzy logo. Way to go Ottawa! Keep this as your primary after this season.

Why are they having another teaser? They already aknowledged that the jersey was leaked.

I'll be happy to see these heritage stories go away. We've been hearing about this jersey since March. I guess it's a decent retro jersey, but it seems like the promotion is on a "Christ is coming!" level. I'm over it.

He has no numbers on the front of his helmet in that picture. :)

...from this picture it looks like the numbers and captaincy patch are white...which would clash with the "vintage white"....or is it just bad lighting in the picture?

Feenixx: Might be your screen. Everything on that jersey is "vintage white." There's no standard white.

It seems to be vintage white from the pics... but not nearly brown tinged as i thought... which is good btw

I guess my screen is off too, because that is standard white to me. I don't see "vintage white" in the leak either. The white part is definitely not that dark.

I really appreciate that the Sens gave such recognition to Jacob Barrette for the design during the unveiling, including an interview on the main screen and having him on the ice afterwards. And it looks great, of course. Icethetics also had a quick showing in the video as one of the sites that showed his design.

If that is vintage white, it is borderline. Almost like if you want to see vintage white, you will, but if you want to see regular white, you can also see that. here. It is definitely not like in the photos you have above.

After seeing a true picture of it...im not that crazy about it.

wow. pretty bad. it's way too busy with all the horizontal stripes. looks like a barber pole only with different colors.

the only thing I don't like is the logo on the leg, too big.

I was at the Puck Drop event. There were quite a few people, I'd say about 5 or 6 thousand. It was very exciting to see them skate out with the jerseys. They opened the Sens stores immediately afterward. I rushed up to get my jersey, hat, scarf and game tickets package. Woo! Can't wait to wear this puppy on Oct 13!!

Weird that the pant manufacturer name/logo is on the right leg and the team logo on the left. Usually, it is the other way around. Also, the stripes on their regular pants match these jerseys more than the regular jersseys. That might be too many stripes though if they were to wear those.

A+ execution. Either you love it or hate it, I personally love it.
