New NHL Draft Logo Emerges

New logo design officially appears on NHL.com
It was back in December that we thought we got our first look at the logo for the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. But that was evidently not an official version. This week, a new mark prominently featuring the outline of the state of New Jersey started appearing on NHL.com.
Personally, I like it better than what we saw a few months ago. The strange drawing of the Newark skyline was out of place. But this map-centric design makes me wonder if it'll set a new trend for future draft logos. Philadelphia hosts in 2014, so will that logo feature an outline of Pennsylvania?
Do you have an opinion on NHL Draft logos? Ever even thought about them before today?

I really like the new draft logo, much better than the older NJ one. As for the future draft in Philly, my guess if they're going to go this route would be either the Liberty Bell or the Keystone. I would just think the state outline of PA would be much too wide for it to graphically work.
It just means there's nothing iconic the identifies Newark or New Jersey (at least positively). Ther's no way they do a PA map next year: that would include Pittsburgh, and that wouldn't go over well.
Jersey!
I like it but only for teams that have the state as their home instead of a city.
I love it. As a New Jersey native and a life-long Devils fan, I couldn't imagine a better logo. NHL should get creative with this - not always state outlines, but rather recognizable features for each team. Nothing says "New Jersey Devils" like the state outline in red and black.
I can't wait I will be attending this years draft in newark! Lets Go Devils!!!
