Sabres Sneak Another Glimpse

Photo from Buffalo Sabres (via Facebook)Today was an odd sort of non-stop day for me. That's why I'm only now getting around to writing about a new third jersey photo the Buffalo Sabres shared 15 hours ago.
Incidentally, if any fans of The Postal Service are reading, you should know they put on a good live show. Though the music's the same as it was a decade ago.
But back to the point. The Sabres revealed another ambiguous look at their forthcoming new sweater on Thursday morning. It doesn't really show us anything we haven't seen before.
However, I have to follow-up on some tweets I wrote earlier today. In response to some saying parts of the jersey were clearly grey, I said I wasn't convinced.
Remember that busy day I've been having? I'd only seen this photo on my tiny smartphone screen. But when I got home tonight and got a better look on a proper computer screen, Idecided to change my tune.
I'm joining the group that says the bottom half of the sleeves are grey. The stripe down the arm, however, I'm less sure of. Still could be white. The lighting in this photo does seem a bit odd.

Interesting. Looks like there's going to be more white on it than I thought.
I think I'm joining the thought that this jersey could be 2 sided... blue back and gold front, otherwise why divide the sleeves longways like that seemingly down the middle
There is a lot of chatter that the front is gold and the back is navy.
And from someone who has seen it, he expects Sabres fans to hate it....
Isn't this eerily similar to the Predators? Buffalo should have gone in a different direction.
On a side note, any update with the Flames getting a new third jersey, or abandoning their current third all together and not wearing a third next season?
This has to be the most obnoxious jersey announcement ever. Get over yourselves, Buffalo.
They've obviously taken their primary logo, put it on a yellow jersey, and then added different striping patterns to it. A little unoriginal, but it could work out well. I still think that this concept, even done in yellow, would be better.
If it's gold on the front and blue on the back, there is no way they could wear this jersey against Nashville.
Well I'll say it now instead of waiting on Buffalo to unveil it : IT.....WILL.....BE.....A DISASTER !
It looks awkward, very untraditional and a radical step just like they tried with the slug, I'm anticipating the same kind of result on this one.
There, that's done, I can move on to other things and have dirt low expectations !
@Scottiea, I completely agree with you there. @Jatt, I remember hearing something about the Flames working on a new black third.
I am still fairly certain, based on the very first picture released, that it will NOT be gold on the front and blue on the back. The main body will be gold and the yoke will be navy. We know that the sleeves will be blue and gold with a white (or light silver) stripe separating the two. What we still cannot quite tell is how the sleeve is oriented, so that we can tell where that white stripe actually falls (top-center or front-middle.) The whole point of this type of release is that they can position the pieces, especially the arms, and play with shadows in such a way that we can get some idea about the final jersey, but still can't be certain about much of anything.
Saw the Postal Service in TO at the ACC, about 3k people in half a hockey rink. Didn't really suit it to say the least. Ben and the other singers seemed to have a good time, but really, a dude on a laptop? Death Cab live was amazing, Postal Service was so so.
I'm almost sure that this jersey will be some sort of ugly. Not shaping up all that well. I hope I'm pleasantly surprised and proven wrong, but I got a bad feeling about this one...
Why did they ditch their heritage jersey?
