The First 4 Wild Jersey Teasers
Latest photo shows new sweater's striping
The Minnesota Wild have now released four of the seven teaser images planned ahead of the official unveiling of the new road jersey on Sunday. Prior to today, all we'd learned about were the details of the collar. The latest photo shows us the striping.
For those expecting a reversed version of the Wild's green alternate jersey, this is evidence to support you. Whether we're looking at a sleeve or the waist, this striping pattern looks awfully familiar. But that makes sense.
At the moment, all three of Minnesota's jerseys look wildly different (accidentally pun) — none use the same template. So I wouldn't be surprised to see this new jersey move closer in style to one of the others. And given how much the green appears in team marketing and promotions, it's a safe bet they're going in that direction.
Again, the full jersey will be revealed at the Minnesota State Fair on Sunday at 11:30 AM CT. I'll have photos here once they're available.
By the way, is anyone terribly disappointed that it's late Thursday morning and we still haven't seen a new teaser photo from the Buffalo Sabres? Yeah, me neither.
Wild reveal red numbers for new sweater
Make that five! The Wild released their fifth teaser photo on the way to Sunday's road jersey unveiling. This one shows us they're sticking with red numbers (outlined in green, of course). Seems this jersey may have a nice mix of red and green. Just hope it doesn't start looking to Christmas-y.
The photo appears to show the sleeve numbers. I would expect the colors to be the same for the numbers on the back as well. What's a little sad is that the rugged-style numbers Minnesota had used from their inception in 2000 seem to be completely gone now.
This number style (font?) is the same as what's in use on the home and third jerseys. Simple, block lettering. it's almost as though they're "wild" no more.
Two more days until we see the whole thing! Plus, I'm cooking up something special following the unveiling.

It looks like it could be similar to the Iowa Wild away jersey, but with some red accenting thrown in, and potentially a solid shoulder yoke.
I am getting sick of these "teasers" (not icethetics, the teams doing these kinds of releases)...It's one thing to create a genuine "surprise" with a teaser, but it's another thing to ham it up with these slide puzzle pics...(and for the most part, they all have been leading to disappointment).
Marketing has gotten very weak...and tiresome.
(apologies for the rant...it's how I feel though)
I'd be more interested in seeing Sweden's, Canada's, Finland's, Czech Republic's, Slovakia's, and Germany(?)'s Olympic jerseys are like than seeing another fragment of the Sabres' new look.
Awww crap. Looks like they're just gonna have it be the same as the Iowa Wild jersey. I've always loved Minnesota's unique green and red colour scheme and their crest, now it looks like they will basically be ditching both. I do see that there is a bit of red, but it looks like it'll be very minimal (almost non-existant) just like their green jersey.
Buffalo normally seems to post them at least on fb around dinner time EST.
So like I thought, it's probably gonna be an exact opposite of the current alternate jersey except with a real shoulder yoke instead of that fake trim thing that they have now (a sarcastic "thanks" to the Hurricanes and Islanders for introducing that). Still, I'm curious as to why put red in the collar since it's starting to look like there won't be any other bit of red except in the logo (at least I'm hoping they go with the logo). I know the Hurricanes did it, but they didn't use a two-toned collar. So I don't get why they would use red there but nowhere else, but guess we'll have to wait until the whole thing gets revealed.
hopefully they don't go all Dallas Stars on us and use the Logo from the Alternate and swap the current home with the Alternate.
Sabres is up on their Facebook page. It's the pants.
Loving what I see from the Wild up to this point. Not sure Buffalo is going to hit a home run with their upcoming alternate sweater. Buffalo has recently done a great job going back to the classic home and away, while bringing in (albeit for a short period of time) a fantastic anniversary uniform that has since been retired. Buffalo fans may not like what they are about to see from the organization. Minnesota continues to travel on the right path regarding uniform reform...............minus the use of the "Mountain Dew" logo located on the shoulders. Cheers!
So much potential, still a chance for disappointment.... Have to admit, did not like the current 3rd but after seeing them in at various arenas in the NE and on TV, they have grown on me. Still hoping for a good overall jersey.
At least is not vintage white!!!
The Wild should have really nice jerseys except for that awful logo. The Sabres are only going to annoy people by building things up with a tedious reveal that leads to disappointment.
