Welcome to Icethetics.info!
Icethetics is getting a new home and you're looking at it! I'll admit it's a little barren at the moment but that will soon change. I plan on dedicating my weekend to helping Icethetics.info fill out a little bit.
Right now, the main thing is to make sure you start rating the logos in the IceHL's Pacific Division. Rate each eligible entry from 1 to 5 stars and next weekend, the top three rated logos for each team will move on to the next round. You guys will vote on those three to determine the final logos for each team.
So at the moment, we're kind of in between sites. But after Saturday, I will no longer be updating icethetics.blogspot.com. Everything that's new will be found right here.
As for what you can expect this weekend, I'm going to start transferring a lot of content from the old blog, including third jersey news and countdowns along with the Flashback '98 logo tournament which will pick up in Round 3 this weekend.
As far as comments, anyone may add a comment to a blog post. That will change soon once I start accepting memberships. You'll be able to sign up for free and will be able to comment at any time. Anonymous comments may be posted but will be moderated first.
If you guys have any questions, comments, suggestions or any other ideas for this brand new site, don't hesitate to drop me a line either by comment or by email.
Enjoy Icethetics.info!
I'm glad to hear so many of you are enjoying our new home at Icethetics.info. Like I said, I'll be adding new stuff all the time over the next several days and weeks. I think the fun part will be just adding new areas and letting you guys discover them on your own.
However, I thought I'd mention some of the new things here. The biggest and best one if you ask me, you can now view the complete archives of NHLToL, ToHL and the old Icethetics blog without every leaving Icethetics.info. Those blogs can be accessed in the Archives section in the navigation bar at the top of the page.
Some other goodies: I've transferred all of the third jersey countdowns to the new site as you can see in the sidebar. You'll also notice new logo graphics to go with it. I always loved the colored graphics I had when I first started NHLToL so I thought I'd return to something similar.
Another cool feature is the new ICE favicon that appears in your browser's address bar. And for all you Mac lovers out there, if you have an iPhone or an iPod Touch, add Icethetics to your home screen and check out the cool new button that appears!
Like I said, I'll constantly be adding more. Now that the IceHL section is up and running — and doing quite well, actually — my next step will be getting the Flashback '98 logo tournament ready to continue here. Round 3 will begin this weekend with the Rangers and Canadiens.
So keep checking back and keep looking around for what's new!
