They all look great. That is the Quebec Armada design I personally voted for. Congrats to all the artists. Can't wait to see what the next division's designs look like!
Congratulations to all of the winners! Alex's Quebec concept was one of my favorite from the entire first round, so I'm glad to see it won.
I was just wondering, is there going to be something that shows the second and third place designs, and how many votes they got? (similar to the iceHL logo competition?)
Taylor: Yes, my hope is actually to display the percentages on the voting page at some point soon. Again, all comes down to time.
Awesome job guys! Everyone. The designers, the contributors, the voters. Everyone. This is awesome and so much fun. So unique. And an especially loud and thunderous applaus to the main man Chris for putting all this together. I can't imagine managing something like this on top of day-to-day job. Awesome, awesome job.
I definitely voted for Montreal and Quebec, those stood out as the best and most unique designs. I may have voted for the others as well. They are good designs, but not really memorable.
NICE!!! looks awesome! Really hoping for the next voting session and also the next jersey creation!
Congrats to all winners. Great work!
Icethetics readers LOOOOOOVE traditional stripe patterns, and a fully utilized hemline. I understand it, but I wish as a group we were more open to unique designs
Thankfully Dallas got a non striping jersey!!! Not that the other one was bad, but now it is 2 non-striping and 8 striping designs. At some point theres enough stripes. I would rather vote for something completely plain like Columbus then...
I have a theory about this actually, I wonder if the current rating system is allowing for the more "safe" designs to win. Since we each pick up to ten jerseys, we do not necessarily love every jersey we pick. I know when I'm voting I pick my favorites followed simply by the ones that "offend" me the least. I wonder if the traditional-looking jerseys are getting the most votes simply because most people, while they may not love them, do not have a problem with them either.
For example; lets say jersey A is my favorite, but I also voted for G,F, and M. Someone else may have picked jersey B as their favorite, but also voted for F, K, and Q. A third voter might like jersey C the best but also voted for E, F, and J. Jersey F would then win because it was included in everyone's votes. Just my two cents.
We're a pretty traditional group aren't we? There's some amazing designs in the voting, but at the end of the day, the ones that get chosen are about as basic as it gets.
Just wanted to post my evaluation of the South Division...
Salt Lake City Scorpions...Amazing. BEAUTIFUL jersey.
New Orleans Gators...Absolutely LOVE the away, great jersey however hope the green collar on the back will be changed to blue. For the home...its just not working for me...perhaps the stripes should be reversed or the white shoulders changed or non-existent i'm not sure. Also I feel the numbers on the home should be tweaked.
Houston Hellcats...Great, great job done there with a very hard color-set...Amazing work.
Dallas Outlaws...I like that you went with a non-traditional design, however I feel it does need red due to the amount of red in the jersey...other than that nice work.
Boulder Beasts...Love the jersey...the hemline is awesome and I like how you opted to leave out the orange...However why the choice in different logos? That would be my only fix.
Congratulations to all the winners and no disrespect was meant by this to any of the designers, just simply stating my opinion on how I would clean-up the jerseys.
I agree with all the comments about the striping. Good or not, there's a lot of traditional striping designs here.. and the designs are not coming out to be very diverse. A rating/ranking system wouldn't be a bad idea.
Haha once again democracy's a bitch ;-)
I don't have love at first sight for any of them (maybe the Hamilton HEllcats?) and they were dfefinitely more challenging and creative jerseys. I totally back Ben on his theory, maybe there were slightly too many choices to give. How about shortening it to three votes per team next? Chris what do you think?
I like Dallas jersey too. Funny the two Texas teams look so similar.
I keep saying colours set for Montreal, New York and New Orelans are horribly chosen.
But good job to everyone and long live fair elections! :)
OK, Quebec and Colorado are very nice too.
Individually, Dallas and Houston look decent, but they are the EXACT same color scheme...and they are neighbors..that cannot happen.
Real proud and excited to see my jersey get picked for Chicago, thank you so much to everyone who voted! Also want top give a shout out to Alex for his Minnesota design, that is a thing of beauty. My favorite design out of all the jerseys selected so far in the league. Well done!
Why is Nash on both the Milwakee lagers and Dallas Outlaws?
Jeff: The team GMs selected the players they wanted to represent their teams in the jersey design contest. Because there are too many teams to fit in one ESPN fantasy hockey league, the IceHL was split into EAST and WEST. Both leagues use the same pool of players so naturally, this is a lot of overlap.

I forgot until now to thank everyone for picking my SLC Scorpions design! I wasn't expect it at all and I am very thankful. Great job to all the other designers too, this is starting to look like a pretty sexy league!
