I'm a diehard Flyers fan who has always thought the Flyers logo could use a little updating. I couldn't have been happier when I heard a few years back about the new logo. I was so disappointed. The Oilers got their alternate logo right. It's fast, cool, and looked great on the best third jersey the NHL had. The Flyers could learn a thing or two from Todd McFarlaine.
i am still baffled at the love shown for this oilers logo. A metal sprocket/meteor/oil carrying ball of doom and gloom (the gloom being that it is hideous). I will say that I love the oilers uniforms that this logo appears on however. The logo looks ten years out of date ... i can see this being unveiled next to the mighty ducks mask logo.
I've always liked that flyers logo.
That Oilers logo has no signification at all. I'm not even interested in what it's symbolise.
