Here we go. It's the start of yet another logo tournament at NHLToL. Time for you guys to decide which team has the best secondary logo. We'll kick things off with a two-part preliminary round, starting with the Sabres and Avalanche.

Sabres logo deserves it more than a hairy foot!
Anyone know the reason of the foot anyway? its always been one of those things that i have no idea where it came from or whats its supposed to represent.
These contests are so pointless. I'll tell you who wins -- Boston over Chicago in the final. Sorry for spoiling it.
if u dont like the contests then dont come to the site and ur probably wrong about the finals anyway lots of people like the washington logo
The foot belongs to the abomidable snowman (who currently resides in Denver, Co).
I choose Colorado over Buffalo becuase it is really original/creative. The sword through the B does look neat, and I do like it, but it just doesn't have the same kind of creativity
The foot is one the most original logos in the league. It is sort of silly but its really unique. It's supposed to be a bigfoot footprint in snow I think. It was sweet when Foote wore a foot.
Just a note on the tournament in general: Chris forgot the Islanders stripes secondary logo! It's still a logo IMO and it even has an interesting meaning. I know this was a random post but that just occured to me.

Thanks for bringing that up. Forgot to address that. I don't consider the New York Islanders' stripes a logo, same as I wouldn't consider the national and provincial flags featured on the shoulders of the Calgary Flames' jerseys.

the islanders 4 stipes signify 4 "tournaments" that they've won. If they won this, they'd have to change their secondary logo.
Sabres. They deserve that much for suffering so much with their primary.
The Sabres secondary is miles better than any primary they've had since the original crossed sabres, so that gets my vote
colorado's is very original but then again alot of these logos are original like floridas which should win next round so be good to see i went with colorado not that buffalo isnt just colorado is more
You should do Nfl Logos, Nba logos, Mlb logos and Etc.....

This is a hockey site. Haven't you seen that the title has "NHL" in it? Chris is a hockey fan and decided to make two hockey blogs...you probably need to find anothe rsite for other sports' logos...
I can't stand the Avs, but I know a unique and creative logo when I see it. The Avs get my vote, this time.

The Sabres' secondary was carried over from the black/red goathead era. I like it.
wow.. quite a lot of pity votes for the Buffalo Sabres because of their main logo. That's hilarious.
I went with the Avs. I've always loved the bigfoot logo.
