It's Official! Canucks Unveiling Unis August 29

The Vancouver Canucks have announced that they will be unveiling their new Rbk EDGE uniforms on August 29 at GM Place. And based on that picture of Roberto Luongo, they look very white.
The date is already in the sidebar, but now it comes officially from the team which is what we've been waiting for. Should be an exciting day. As the graphic says, the uniforms will be unveiled at 12:30 PM so as soon as images are available, I'll post them here. We're expecting to see something similar to the alleged leaks that I've posted — likely the orca logo recolored to green, blue and silver a la the old days.

The font that is used in the Promo for CANUCKS is very similar to the leaked cell phone image we saw couple weeks back for the lettering detail below the collar.
That's a very nice blue. Interested to see the rest of the re-design. And I'm not even a Canucks fan! :P
You know, I think that it may be that a small wordmark of "canucks" appears on the home dark jerseys while "vancouver" appears on the whites. Could it be that the wordmark size is overdramatized on the Fin's Friends graphic?
I wonder if the road jerseys really are that white? They may have taken away some of the details for Luongo's photo.
I agree that it is a very nice blue. It needs to be brighter I think, to offset the black in the orca. And it will mean the green is also a different hue. I like that. I am just not a primary color guy.

That jersey Luongo is wearing is a teaser. no way will the jersey just be plain white. remember the other teams promos we saw before their unveiling? same idea.
You can't see all the way down Luongo's left shoulder, but it doesn't appear that there's a logo on the shoulders of the white jerseys. Of course this could be done so as not to reveal any newly designed/reworked logos.
As long as they keep them 'classic' without any crazy V shaped stripes or curvy lines I'm cool with them. Green and white are more representative of the wet coast!!!

I can't wait, really. Out of all the teams, this one seems to have had the most rabid "what if" speculation, especially with the whole "We're unveiling, oh... no we're not", fiasco.
Sharks probably come second. heh.
Luongo is wearing the mask that he wore last season with the vintage/alternate jerseys. As we have seen on previous posts, the original Johnny Canuck appears on the side of this mask. I admit that this isn't really telling as the mask could change too. But I hope they have used this logo, or a version of it, on the shoulders of the new jerseys. Johnny Canuck represents the team's name far more than the whale logo. And although I like the simplicity of the vintage stick-n-rink logo, I would give it up on these jerseys to have Johnny Canuck.
Can't wait for this unveiling! I work in an office building across the street from GM Place and I will be there in full force on the 29th!

The naslund photo is last years retro practice jersey, The really arnt giving us very much so im sure there is more to the white then shown on luongo
Ahh.. That's true, I think I saw those practice jerseys now and again. heh. Oh well, only, what, 9 more days.
It's interesting to see that the mask grill is blue in the teaser pic. I believe that mask had a white grill last year, maybe a repaint in Luongo's mask to reflect the new uni's
i kind of like the all white jersey and am excited to see if that is indeed what they plan to go with. i also really like the blue and green... they just go really well together.

we represent the west coast that jersey has perfect coloring and the orca too thats great WEST COAST ( GO CANUCKS GO !)
