Wild Leak Jersey To Season Ticket Holders; Season Ticket Holders Leak Jersey To Us

Minnesota Wild season ticket holders were treated to a photo of the brand new home Rbk EDGE uniforms when they received their ticket books. The image was featured on a coupon for the new sweater. Look!

Pretty much what we've expected. Basically the third jersey from last year. One would expect them to use this same template for the road whites. We'll find out when the Wild will officially unveil both uniforms a week from today.

Thanks to all of you who emailed in images, by the way. You're the reason this blog is so successful!

Didn't like the piping at first, it's growing on me though. Looks great! I prefer the circle logo and like the lacing. Looks great without the stripe at the bottom since that looked so terrible on the Vancouver jersey.

looks great, except i hate the actual logo.

and seasons ticket holders only save $10 on that?

I like it, looks really vintage.

I guess tne NHL is encouraging teams to add the name of their city to its jerseys.

The stripe at the bottom of the jersey is also found on the Bruins, Rangers, and Red Wings jerseys. Surprise, most people think those jerseys are the nicest around. It won't only be the Canucks that have the white "tail" sticking out below the piping at the bottom, most of the original 6 teams will to. The lack of piping makes the new jerseys look like practice jerseys in my opinion, unfinished.

As for these, they look pretty nice, but I have to question why the Wild have decided that their dominant colour will be red, not green. I mean, the Wild logo is green, and green has been synonymous with the Wild for their entire existence. There are too many red teams in the NHL.

Anyway, safe choice, but I would prefer green to be the dominant colour for the Wild. Any Wild fans agree with this?

The reason for going from Green to Red, was apparantly fan feedback; both in surveys in $$$'s from jersey sales.

As for the comment about the NHL encourgaging teams to add their name to the new jerseys; the Wild's circular logo has always looked that way since it was first revealed 3-4 years ago.

I personnally don't like the circular logo as much, but I know a lot of Wild fans who do; here's hoping that the away jerseys continue to use the actual logo.

A bit disappointed. Was hoping green would be the dominant color but guess not. Also I like the original logo better, the circle is kinda lame. Not awful, but could of been so much more.

"I guess tne NHL is encouraging teams to add the name of their city to its jerseys."

Except Minnesota is a State!!

I read on a another blog (wild blog) that the Wild may be bringing back the Greenies next year. I think alot of teams will probably add third jerseys again next season (as soon as reebok catches up)

yes it's good looking but to many teams already have red in there jerseys.

lets see teams with red:
red wings
blackhawks
Calgary
avs ( sorta, it's a dark red/purple )
yotes
devils
panthers
hurricane
montreal
Ottawa
rangers
capitals
blue jackets

do we really need another team with red, no!

The Wilds official colors from day one have been green, red, gold wheat and white. So really it is not like they just decided to go with red this year. I would rather have teams use red, than like a few years ago when everyone had to have a black jersey just because they thought it looked tough.

Love it.

The "tail" issue is more apparent on the white jerseys. If the teams would make the tail of the white jerseys match the pants then the tail would not be so apparent.

Aug 31 · 1:03 PM PDT | Unregistered CommenterAnonymous

would have been better without the piping, but still one of the top 5 in the league. perfect vintage look.

the issue is rather: will they ajust the green of the pants? the pants' green is lighter and the combo didn't quite work last year. let's hope they see to it.

They better not be wearing red gloves!

Aug 31 · 1:25 PM PDT | Unregistered CommenterJ.R. Hippe

Maybe it's just me or my monitor or that scan... but that looks like they have replaced the green with black... both on the logo and the sleves... I hope not.

Aug 31 · 1:52 PM PDT | Unregistered Commenter-Gabe

The green is a little dark in the image but fear not, what's supposed to be green is still green. Thanks for all the comments, everybody!

Not bad-love the circle logo (it reminds me of a college sweatshirt crest), but I don't like the big, lonely blocks of green on the sleeves. If they had a green shoulder yoke and the bottom parts of the sleeves were green instead of the tops, they would be perfect.

(And so many teams have red because it is a strong color-think when the red "power tie" was everywhere. There are some solid biological reasons why it is such a common signalling color, too, but no need for this science nerd to expound on a hockey blog.) :)

I think the green upper-sleeves will look good once you see it with gloves and pants... assuming that they are both green... if they are noth then it might be an odd color placement.

It looks much better than their original jerseys, because it takes the emphasis away from the hideous wolf head logo. I like the piping on the arms. Overall, pretty good. Although I am still not a fan of the "Christmas" colour scheme.

Aug 31 · 3:41 PM PDT | Unregistered CommenterAnonymous

Yeah... that's a bear...

Aug 31 · 3:52 PM PDT | Unregistered Commenter-Gabe

The Christmas Wild. Worst jersey in the NHL. They could have done so much better.

Aug 31 · 5:53 PM PDT | Unregistered CommenterAnonymous

I absolutely, 100% love them. I miss the green and wheat striping at the bottom, but I love them. I think the aways will be the same as last year's, but I'd really like to see the away jersey in the same style.
