UPDATE (9/17 3:03 PM): Hi guys! I know a lot of you have been asking a valid question about this poll and I apologize for not responding sooner. Many of you are wondering why there's no red C among these logos. First off, the way I see it, the Flames haven't really had a logo change since they moved from Atlanta. The basic flaming C has been the same all these years. The first change was in 1995 when a black outline was added. So basically, the question is, do you prefer the C with the black or without it?

As far as there being no red C, the format I'm using for the logos on this site precludes me from using white or black as a background color for the box. I'd just prefer not to do it. If I were to use a red C on a red box, it would blend in too much. (And I tried it on a yellow box and it looked horrible.) So again, you're really just voting on the flaming C with the black versus without the black. Hope that explains things. Happy voting!

How can the C be on fire and be black? It doesn;t make sense to me logically. I can see it being burnt afterward, but it should be RED HOT!

That black flaming "C" was created for the 2003-04 season so you may want to correct your date. The Flames did add black to their colours for the 1994-95 season, but due to the players' strike the colour black didn't actually hit the ice until '95, and the black "C" was 9 seasons later.

Thanks for the quick correction! As a die-hard Flames fan with a uniform and logo fetish I can't help but point these things out. Great site. Keep up the good work!

I think the original Flames logo was actually the one that was on the white jersey, which was red with a yellow outline... And the actual is still red too!

I'm surprised you didn't use the horse head logo.

Erm... the traditional logo is the Red C.. right?
The classic white C was for the away jersey.

The two first logos are those I posted on the top of these comments..
The red C of '81 and '95

The red C is the best one.
SO I'm with the people asking where it is...

Both are great. The traditional red, yellow, white worked great in the 80's and early 90's. The addition of the black outline was a good way to modernize the look. Then the black "C" updated the logo to the 21th century. The flaming "C" is a classic, the use of the Atlanta "A" on the alternate captains is creative and looks great.
Original 6 aside, I think the 2003-2007 (red jersey with black "C") was the best looking jersey in the league...heck, all sports.
