We're kicking off the Quest For The Worst tonight with the Buffalo Sabres. Fans have lamented each new logo since 1996 from "The Goathead" to "The Buffaslug." Time to decide which is worse.

I think you should make it more clear were voting for which logo is worse. If someone were just a casual visitor they might not realize that's the point.

damn....I just voted on the logo I liked more....
I voted for the Goat Head. The BuffaSlug may be ugly and not have legs, but at least it's blue and gold.
Slug is going to win the tournament. Hands down.
this is all my opinion but i personally like the 1996 logo i know i dosnt have a sabre anywhere so its not a good representation of the team but its one of the cooler looking logos out there btw the buffaslug logo is horrible and is getting my vote
I don't honestly think that the buffaslug has any chance of not 'winning' this thing.
The hatred for it runs deep, and it doesn't even have the "It's so bad I kind of like it" vibe that many of these other bad logos do.
No contest. Although there are some other logos that could touch this.
The Buffaslug would, as shown a few days ago, make an excellent NFL logo. But it just doesn't work for hockey. The buffalo head concept could at least be massaged into something useable.
Just wondering why it ALWAYS says "Thank you, we have already counted your vote" after I click on "vote". Even when I haven't yet voted.
At least I can tell the "goathead" logo is a Buffalo. The first time I saw the "Buffaslug" logo was a few days before it came out and I thought it was a joke because it looked like a fish. I am a Sabres fan and try to buy stuff with the original logo which the Sabres sell a lot of. Yeah I do have some stuff with the "Buffaslug" but not much. And the "goathead" is gone, nobody breaks it out on the streets or at the game like they do the original stuff.
I found it really funny, watching the San Diego/Indianapolis NFL game on Sunday, how similar the Chargers logo looks compared to the "buffaslug", especially when placed on a blue background. (ie Chargers coaching pullovers)
Let's go Buffalo! This is one contest in which I will fully support the slug. All the way baby!
How are the two Canucks logo's in the worst logo contest when their nearly identical secondary logo finished second in the contest for the best?

I'm not voting in this matchup in protest of virtually everyone rubbing themselves at the thought of that godawful orignal Sabres logo, but the buffaslug definately takes the cake.
Ugh. I'm stupid and voted for the '96 logo. Too used to voting for what I like best! Oh well, hopefully enough people are smarter than me and vote for the current logo so that my vote doesn't make much difference.
I think the only way to explain that the Buffalo head of '96 got even 24% is that some people don't read the f-ing directions and have voted for the one they like more because, seriously, it's no contest. The black, red and silver unis were very cool also. I was shocked when I heard that they changed again. If they were going to change so soon after totally revamping the look they should have just went back to the original ones. The slug along with Vancouver's orca are the two worst logos in the NHL right now.

But yes, they should have gone back to the originals, or at least "modern" updates of the originals.
The return of the Sabres to Blue and Gold should not have included such a terrible logo that has drawn so many associations but hardly any which resemble a Buffalo or Sabres.
It is the poster child for shitty logo design.

I think the '96 buffalo spent a little too much time with Barry Bonds' trainer. That thing is just ridiculous - possibly the 2nd-worst logo in NHL history (behind the old Flames fire-breathing horse).
