The '76 bear looks hilarious.
Bruins '96 was a bear of very little brain (There's a rumbly in my tummy for the hunny)

wow the tiger verses the man-bear-pig its a tough one but i went with 96 because it actually found its way onto the crest of a jersey
ROFL... I'd forgotten just how ridiculous that '76 logo really was. The poor thing's snout is like all bent to the left. Ouch.
The '76 bear isn't getting a fair shake here. It's a simpler logo from a simpler time. At least attempts were made to make it look fierce.. something the smiley-cuddly-'96 bear doesn't have at all.. and it was designed in recent times when designers have all kinds of technology at their beck and call.
The '96 bear has *no* excuse to be bad. So it wins worse logo in this poll for me.
I can't believe I didn't notice how hilariously bad the '76 logo was back when they wore it on their shoulders. Maybe because it was so small or maybe I just didn't pay much attention, but wow. And it stuck around for 20 years?!
76 bear looks rabid.
I always thought the Tiger head was bad, but never as that bad.

This isn't even a contest. I'm shocked that the tiger is winning by such a huge margin.
I'm not really fond of either bear logo, but would choose 96 over 76 any day. I would also add that I would like to see the 76 Bruins in action again despite the cartoonish bear. That team definitely was tough to play against.
I actually like the stoic, rather majestic modern bear head. The 76 bear is just...shameful.
I see that 76 is running away with it but I chose 96 as the worse one for one reason, he looks like a friendly huggable bear. 76 is ugly for sure but at least he looks a little fierce.
I choose the '96 bear for two reasons. One, the '76 bear was more fierce and simple. Two, the "Baby Bear" from '96 symbolized the demise of the Big Bad Bruins. When the Bruins vacated the intimate and historic Boston Garden, they not only lost their team identity, they ditched a classic and simple uniform design for a 90s expansion look. The team was beginning to wallow in mediocrity. For an original six franchise, that's embarrassing. Jeremy Jacobs and Harry Sinden ruined a once-pround franchise. :(
I agree with those sympathizing with the '76 logo. It looks more like the victim of poor stitching technique than poor design. If that bear was modernized, it was be one mean looking SOB.
That '96 bear looks like it's stealing picnic baskets.
