Having the top point of the star be the "A" in "STARS" is really quite clever. As for the other logo.. well, the nickname for that one is "Mooterus" isn't it?

The Stars' primary is fine. How'd it get voted into this?

Jan 28 · 6:04 PM PST | Unregistered CommenterJason

this is as clear as the north star, get it hahahhaha

i make myself laugh

mooterus as its most affectionately known seems more of a minnesota wild secondary candidate than a stars logo, the vote goes to that

I can see that the regular Stars logo is a bit bland, but the cowstellation is just...wrong.

The Mooterus is a serious player in this competition of God Awfulticity.

Mooterus is a serious candidate for the finals... I dare to say this will conquer even the duck shooting through the ice!

The Stars primary logo should NOT be in this tournament. Its simple, classic and has been around for over 15 years. Not to mention it has the one of the best colour combinations in the league. Shame its wasted on those horrible new jerseys though... Mooterus wins.

i wonder how many people actually understand why its called the mooterus...cause i dont think ira quite gets the idea lol.

Why no one likes it? Are you serious? As a Stars fan, I can tell you that first of all, the sweater associated with the Mooterus has red in it. Red is not one of our colors. You cant just f#@%ing go adding or changing colors......they are what they are. Look at the constellation carefully......are you looking? It looks like a female reproductive system, fallopian tubes and all. I get the star and even the Taurus being a cow thing. The whole Yee-Haw Texas thing. That logo is why Bill Guerin left. He wont admit it publicly, but get him alone. Anyway......

I'm half tempted to vote for the '93 logo just because it's so bland. But then, the other logo is a cow. So never mind.

fallopian tubes lol

As a longtime hockey fan, I not only was sad to see the Minnesota North Stars move to Dallas, but I was upset that the club kept the "Stars" name. If the Mooterus's horns were in an UPRIGHT position, similiar to the Chicago Bulls, then this controversial logo would have been perfect for the Dallas team if they had changed their name to Texans. That would have preserved the "North Stars" and the classic green and gold N-star logo for today's Minnesota franchise. Instead, we have Dallas using a very common name and Minnesota using a very bush-league name. So, in a way, I do like the creativity behind the Mooterus. If only the horns pointed upward and not downward.
