More Leaked Third Jersey Pics!
16 CommentsI shared some new leaked images of a handful of third jerseys on Wednesday. Turns out there's more where that came from. Today's images serve as further proof of what we can expect from the Vancouver Canucks and Philadelphia Flyers.

Also included were close-ups of the crests in all their embroidered glory. First the Canucks...

Still nothing new — I mean, we've already seen these before — but it's nice to have more pictures. I hope to have shots of the Kings, Sharks, Penguins, Senators and Stars alternate jerseys for you at some point in the near future. No promises, though.

I WANT THE KINGS JERSEY LEAKED RIGHT NOW!!
I know this is getting beyond annoying, but the Kings were shutout by the Canucks last night for the first time in franchise history in a home game. I need something to cheer me up.
Those jerseys look nice and simple. I would prefer to see the Johnny logo on the front of Vancouver's but it still looks good.
What is up with the gigantic Flyers logo? is that an adult small hopefully?
oversized logos seem to be the new trend since the RBK jerseys came out...look at pittsburghs jerseys...
also, if these are bogus jerseys, they look like they are very good quality lol

The Canucks have shutout the Kings in LA before. On April 3,1982, "King Richard Brodeur registered a shutout in a 6-0 win.
As for the new images, they look great. The Flyers' logo is a little too big, though. Mind you, the Canucks one will be Vancouver's fulltime sweater in a year or two and then, the Johnny Canuck V will be on a third green sweater.

There are conflicting reports then. In one spot of the Kings' media guide, it says there has never been a shutout of the Kings at home. In the 1981-82 season section, it does say the Canucks won 6-0 in a Kings home game. Hockey-Reference.com confirms that score.
Maybe I just read the source wrong. The AP recap of the game says "This was the first time the Canucks have shut out the Kings in Los Angeles in 106 visits to the Forum and Staples Center." So maybe that game was played at another site, other than the Forum, for whatever reason.
In either case, I'm still disappointed about last night's game.
Its funny to see how the third jersey's, except for Atlanta, have horizontal stripes at the bottom of the jersey. Something that Rbk didnt want when they switched to the Edge style.
I guess they figured out how to make the horizontal stripes fit in the Rbk Edge cut.
Either that, or they just gave up.
That Flyers jersey looks great! I hope they eventually go with that one and get ride of the black.
That Flyers sweater is gorgeous, they need to go back to orange.
As usual Chris great pics, these are really fantastic. As a Bruins fan I gotta say I am very pleased with the pictures, not just of the B's Uni's. but all of them, WOW!
Now that i get a nice upclose look at a handful of them, i will say I am still very pleased with my boys new 3rd, I'll be sporting one ASAP. But I gotta say the Canucks 3rd is GREAT, the Yots 3rd is really sleek, I gotta say Chris, even that Bolts 3rd is really growin on me, I kinda like the nickname taking center stage, it gives it a grittier rougher edge to it. And I also love the Thrashers 3rd, I think it's really creative, and looks like some real thought and concept went into it. There hasn't been a 3rd yet that i don't like, but some are just less thrilling i.e. Islanders and Blues, no disrespect I personally just wasn't blown away by those 2. But they will look great on the ice i'm sure. Can't wait to see the Pens and Sharks, heck I can't wait to see em' all. I can't wait to sport a nice Lucic or Kessel 3rd, heck I may even go Neely, and bring the legend back. Anyway great job as always, and everyone in here rocks, keep hockey alive!!!!
Why would anyone actually want the Canucks to sport a green 3rd jersey? Every concept I see is awful. I'd love it if they used the black (or dark blue whatever it was) jersey they used a few years ago as a 3rd jersey.

so i was at the nucks game tonight
and i didnt have my camera on me but i see this guy in what i thought was a regular old vintage jersey, but then i noticed the spacing in the striping and so i watched him as he came up the stairs and sure enough it was this jersey! i dont know how he got his hands on it or if he just had it made (i didnt see the rbk logo) but i just thought that it was rather interesting. i mean people at canucks games have all sorts of jerseys made (vintage jersey with orca in green white blue or team canada logo in the same palette) but still interesting none the less
