Ohh, the #1 inside the #2 would be perfect! Guess I'll vote #1 in lieu of that option. :)
I dunno... you don't suppose the likeness of the Sabres logos aren't very apparent in these logos? Was the Bison a creative enough name for a team in Buffalo?
Number 2 for least amount of likeness, I guess.
Yeah I agree, that First logo is great, and if it had the border of the 2nd one, it would be perfect!
#3 should be the bills logo, i love it!

# 1: dallas mavericks
#2: buffalo destroyers (defunct AFL team)
#3: buffalo bills
it would be interesting to see what these would look like in blue and gold with a sabre incorporated in them. #1 is the best!
I went with #3 just because I'm glad they didn't resort to throwing the logo in a circle.

Chris does that on occasion when they're both better then the other submissions. On Seattle recently it looked like all were from the same set.
1 and 2 are sweet though, I can completely understand that decision.

opiatedsherpa - The Buffalo Bisons were an AHL for a about 40 years and then there's the AAA baseball team too.
I agree that #1 looks like the Dallas Mavericks logo.
Chris - love the blog, hate the stupid logos that always win the contests. I'm a "traditionalist", and I get more and more frustrated every time I visit this blog and see ridiculous "modern" logos trumping more classic designs.
I need to stop voting in these contests before I lose my mind. The only real reason I visit this blog is for concept art and re-branding anyway.
Keep doing what you're doing though, I think it's awesome. I just look forward to the day that the same people that voted the Habs logo the best in the NHL start voting for logos that don't suck.
I voted #3 because it's the most dynamic.
