In 1993, the NHL continues its rapid expansion as the Florida Panthers and Mighty Ducks of Anahiem put hockey in more Sun Belt markets. Meanwhile, another team moves south as the struggling Minnesota North Stars relocate to Texas. The Dallas Stars retain the North Stars' logo but the city name is added to the uniforms.
