NHL: 1995-1996

View NHL Map 1995-1996 in a larger map

Following a season shortened by the NHL lockout, Canada loses one of its teams as Denver gets a second chance wth pro hockey. The Quebec Nordiques become the Colorado Avalanche in 1995. Elsewhere in the league, new logos abound. The Dallas Stars, Calgary Flames and Boston Bruins make minor updates to their crests while the New York Islanders and Washington Capitals go for wholesale changes. This will turn out to be a rather unpopular decision for the Isles.

Love this feature. Really cool to see how the NHL has changed over the years. Keep up the good work, maybe you could do this with other leagues like AHL, ECHL, WHL, QMJHL, and the OHL. Really cool to see the transformations.
