Devils Sneak Peek

I almost went all day without a new post, didn't I? My apologies for that. I was out of town all day and therefore away from my computer. I've been driving for most of the night so I don't have the wherewithal to write a lot right now. What I can offer is a sneak peek at Matt's rebranding of the New Jersey Devils. He emailed me a simple square to share with you all.

Apparently that's all we get for now. Expect to see his full designs some time soon.

Everything else this guy has been top notch, but I gotta say that as a Devils fan that teaser has me wincing.

Looks to me like he's basing the desing here (which could be a secondary logo for all we know), off the original basis for the Devils' nickname, which is the Jersey Devil, a mythical creature of the New Jersey countryside.

Of course, many fans don't know about this.

I'd hope people realize the New Jersey Devil is the basis of the team's name. I wouldn't think that its one of the more obscure cryptozoological creatures.
