Poll: Senators vs Rangers

By the way, I know the Senators are unveiling their new logo on August 22 (three days before this poll closes), so on that day or the day after, the logo you see here will change. You can choose to vote now based on this logo or later in the week based on the new one. Or you may even be able to vote on both occasions.

If the Sens logo wasn good they wouldn't be changing it in 4 days.
Well I don't think that's true. But even if it were, the poll doesn't ask "Is the Senators logo good?" Instead, it asks "Which logo is better?"

I actually abstained from voting, but I do think if something is worth having at all, you don't mess with it.
And from what I've seen of the leaked logo, it does not look like an improvement.
Personally, I think it is an improvement even though an improvement it wasn't entirely needed here. On the other hand, the New York Islanders are a good example of how getting a new logo isn't always better. In fact, it was so bad, they switched it back to the old one rather quickly. (Waiting on the Sabres to do the same.)
when the sens change their logo will people still be voting on the current logo or the future logo

but anyway i voted sens cause the rangers logo is too simple, a badge
while the sens supposedly has a C for Canada and an O for Ottawa
don't think either of these teams have a chance of winning the next round though
When the Senators change their logo it will be the "current" one, actually. And yes, when they announce the new logo, it will take effect here in the tournament as quickly as I can get it posted.
However, the way I've set up the schedule, it's very tight. I want the second round to start as soon as possible. So these polls have to go in order, unfortunately.
In case you're wondering, the schedule is designed so that the "logo champion" will be determined on the first day of the new season — October 3.
After that, we'll still have future tournaments.
I voted for the Sens logo, but I don't know how I feel about my vote essentially going toward a new inferior logo that is lame beyond words.
Of course, the new Sens' logo still beats the Rags', so I guess it doesn't matter.
I have never understood why the Rangers are called that. And I don't think the logo has any significance to New York City.
anon, the president of the garden at that time was Tex Rickard. The New York press called, what at that time was the new york americans, tex's rangers. Tex wanted to name the team the 'Giants,' but the Rangers name stuck
In the battle of the yawns, the Sens logo only puts me to sleep. The Rangers makes me comatose.
I voted the Rangers, once again an original 6 team. Plus, I can not friggen stand the Senators.
The Profile logo looks like shit on the away jerseys, but when you go to Scotiabank place and see the logo as decoration (on walls, tiles on the floor..) it looks nice. But when they stich this big circle onto the jerseys it just sorta looks bad. But maybe it's just cuz the white jerseys sucks balls, unlike the red and the black which are two of the nicest in the league; i find.

They are both OK logos, nothing amazing and i wouldnt expect either of these to win the tourney, but what do i know. Anyways i voted sens cuz the rangers is a bit boring, although i do like the color scheme.
thats pretty ridiculous to change the logo in the middle of the voting.
thats like voting for a candidate and then you get another guy running for the presidency.

especially if you consider that the new sens logo sucks big time and even though the rangers logo might not be anything special it wouldve destroyed the new sens logo.

i voted rangers. the old sens logo possibly but i do not like the revamp. the 2/3 view just never appealed to me.
i would like to mention my beef with the rangers alt.
they use this logo more than the shield in advertisement and marletting. while glad that they still wear the old school unis, i believe this to be their current logo. the shield makes no appearance on the jersey only the pants. wshould be voting on liberty head logo
one problem there is no third jersey now so that logo is not even part of the rangers this year prolly will be next year but not this year

The old sen's logo was fine--this looks bad, and the new unis look bad--I think it sucks.
I don't know what's wrong with people. The new Senators logo completely trounces the old one. True, the jersey isn't as good as it was, but this logo is so much better.
Having said that however, both Sens logos are better than the Rangers'.
sens beat rangers. easily. even with the new logo (but then i like the new logo anyways so yeah :P the uniforms are too plain, though)
I'm not sure why a lot of people are complaining about the new Sens logo. It's not horribly different from the teams alternate logo. I like the Rangers as a team but the whole roman gladiator theme for the Senators is what attracts me to their logo. I voted for the Sens, it's just more original and makes a bigger statement. The gladiator theme is what attracts me most......the Roman empire was one of the greatest empires known to man and my fascination with ancient Rome is what attracts me to this logo
