By the way, just like with the Senators in their match with the Rangers, when the Lightning unveil their new logo on August 25, it will take effect on this poll that day or the day after. So the "old logo" will only be here for just one or two days. I know the timing is funky but bear with me if you can.

Another proper NHL logo from the Flyers, just such a classic even if a lot of people can not work out what it represents. The Lightning logo belongs in the AHL or something.
The Lightning logo isn't even AHL, its more like a mattel logo, or a SALE price tag
yeah i voted flyers because it's just so much smoother than a circle with lightning
there's so much u can do with lightning but they didn't really pull off anything special
I just don't buy it. Looking at the Philadelphia Flyers logo is like looking at one of those optical illusion graphics, except this one went seriously wrong. Yet no one seems to have the guts to point that out to the Flyers organization. People have seemed to latch onto the Flyers logo for no apparently good reason, in my opinion. To me, a poor to fair logo, when associated with the history of the Flyers organization, turns into... the same poor to fair lofo it always has been. And orange. Come on. Orange is the teal of the 1960's. Sigh. Maybe I'm just bitter because it wasn't until high school that I realized the logo had a P in it. If a logo's ineffectiveness can be described in any better way, somebody let me know.

I'm only voting based on the old Tampa logo...the new one leaked has some promise over the Flyers'...which as revered and iconic as it is, I just don't like it.

I've seen Tampa's new logo on a NHL cap already, so I'm voting based on that, and .. err.. it makes no difference.

Could the Flyers use an update for their logo, maybe. The Lightning, on the other hand is the most childish, amateur, hand drawn and stock computer font desgined logo in any major or minor league sport.
Yes, I'm a Flyers fan. I happen to be one who is willing to blashpheme and say that the Flyers don't have the best logo in hockey and even could use an upgrade (and God forbid a secondary logo). But the Flyers far and away have a better logo than the Lightning.
For those that like a little bit of trivia.. It's said that Tony Esposito designed the Flyer's logo.

What is a better symbol for the Philadelphia Flyers than a flying P? Nothing.
The Lightning logo, on the other hand, annoys me to no end, mostly because of the two different fonts used.

I'm dreading the day that the Flyers stupidly change their logo. It's a classic. Always been a classic. When I was a kid, before I even knew what hockey was, I thought that logo looked cool. Not sure why... it just did. So this is an easy pick for me. The Lightning logo is only slightly better than the Ducks logo.

The flyers logo looks like a fried egg on top of a road kill bird. Even though I don’t like the fact that Tampa wrote the team name inside the Logo, I still prefer it over the flyers. The fact that a Logo has been around for a long time doesn't make it better
Flyers easy... but mainly because the lightning logo is a letdown. i mean come on... you can do almost anything with the name Lightning... but instead you just put a lightning bolt in a circle??? that's pathetic. and yes the Flyers logo is a flying P : )
There are a lot of comments here that are just...dumb. Yes the Flyers logo is a classic...but that doesn't change the fact that Tampa's logo is a horrible, gradeschool looking pile of crap. And just because the flying P isn't obvious (its also supposed to be a flying puck...double meaning) doesn't mean its bad. In fact its better that its not obvious. Its fun to find things in logos.
The Lightning primary logo (as of August 24) is the second worst logo in the NHL ( 1st being the Nashville Predator's 3rd jersey logo).
Wouldn't be smart to hold off certain votes until all teams unveiled their new logos?

They could do SO much more with the Lightning logo. With the team name they have, their logo could be much better. I don't like logos that have their names on it..
The Flyers logo is original, and well thought. Flyers get my vote!
Sorry, man, but looks like your Lighting are going down. Maybe with this new logo, they might win!
