It's just a silly poll that, in the long run, will mean absolutely nothing to anybody. I guess I can't make anyone not take it seriously, but come on. This isn't a message board. This is a personal blog. Not only are you being rude to each other, but you're being horribly rude to me. And it's not right.
I offer the privilege to post comments assuming you can be civil about it. There's no call for vicious attacks on one another or myself. Actually to correct your point of history, the first team to win the Stanley Cup when it was exclusively NHL property was the Toronto Arenas, not the Senators...the Senators back then did win the cup a few times but not the first one. And one more correction: before it was just the NHL, the NHL used compete with the PCHL(Pacific Coast Hockey League) for the cup, not the WHL.
And it was called the NHA before the NHL...and the Bruins logo is better....I prefer the Senators shoulder patches with the "O" on it, now that is paying homage to Senator teams from the 1920's.

you can't explain it because there is NO connection. Ottawa is as connected to rome and the roman empire as boston is connected to the Caribbean. Its a lame logo, has ZERO to do with the city. Anyone around the world looks at the Bruins spoked B and knows what it means..no one knows what that cartoony roman is from.

haha so true. I think the Bruins logo is better because it's an actual logo, not some cartoon of some dude's face that no one can relate to the team.
TSN had a poll when the Sens changed their logo and many Sens fans hated it and trashed it on the message board. It's quite clear that the majority of Sens fans here are voting for their team and not the logo (I don't have a problem with that) but just be honest about it already. Most Sens fans agree their logo is crap so stop trying to convince the rest of the hockey world otherwise. Do you really think someone will be able to tell what the hell that floating head is when they're watching the games on TV? Don't think so. Or if someone is wearing a Sens cap? Nope. The Sens logo has more to do with condoms than it does actual Senators.

I voted bruins because i just don't like the look of ottawa's logo.It just doesn't look right.
I love the new logo. It's basically the old secondary logo simplified. I am a Sens fan however... so I guess I am bias.

Oh, my God. You people are f-ing retarded. You are correct, there is no connection between Ottawa and Rome. Is the name of the team the Ottawa Romans? No, they are called the Ottawa SENATORS. No one should have to explain the connection between a Senator and Rome, it would be painfully clear to a god damn pre-schooler.

i voted for the sens, because they have a better logo.
HOWEVER
if we eventually get to vote on jerseys, its true that the bruins have the best in the league (so far) and the sens have one of the worst

Geez, Leafs fans get blamed for everything. Calm down kiddo, it's just a little poll. Nothing worth blowing your top off for. The Leaf fans you hate so much were able to lose quietly in the first round, without whining or personal attacks.
Bruins logo is classier and has more meaning behind it. Boston's nickname is "The Hub," hence the spoked B. For a logo which has evolved over 3/4 a century, it's pretty damn good.
The Senators logo is ok, but there's one thing that really bugs me. The half circle poking out from behind the centurion looks stupid. Yes, I realize it evolved from the original logo, but it doesn't make any sense to have it there.
Glad to see that the Senators fans needed to call in support from a Hannah Montana web forum to try and beat the Bruins...

Then again, if you weren't such a douche bag you probably wouldn't be a Senators fan.
It comes down to this; The Bruins logo since the 40's will always be the spoked B representing Boston as a Hub, with its freeway system creating a spoked wheel. But I'm sure none of you Maple syrup sippers never thought of that.
The Sens logo looks like some sick joke of a Hanna Barbara cartoon character, and the logo will probably change 10 more times over the next 20 seasons.

I'm an impartial voter since I am indifferent towards each team here. I'd have to say the Sens logo wins out. The Bruins' logo is just too boring and the timeless, classy, original six, yada yada excuse is an empty arguement.
The Sens logo, in my opinion, portrays a sense of fierce warrior, ready for battle soldier etc. It's just more appealing in all aspects including the colors. The fact that Ottawa is a newer team etc yada yada argument is lame. In fact the original Ottawa Senators, were the first ever Stanley Cup champions back when the NHL was a five team league. The whole original six arguement is lame because before the original six, there were an original five.
Sens logo wins out, sorry Boston fans. Whether the Sens team is as fierce as it's logo remains to be seen, nevertheless, Ottawa's logo is better.........much better in my opinion.
