I mind your belittling the opinions of others. You know who I'm talking about. The logic of calling someone a liar for having an opinion is lost on me. That's what an opinion poll is all about, my dear anonymous friend. My question reads, "Which logo is better?" The inference being, "In your opinion, which logo is better?"
Thinking any NHL logo is better than another is completely subjective. That's the fun of these polls. We're gathering the opinions of various hockey fans around the world.
Logos mean different things to different people. Some see them as works of art. Some cynics see them as symbols used only to make money. Some see them as a nostalgic link to the past or the embodiment of everything that represents the one hockey team they've rooted on through the good days and the bad for their entire lives. It's sometimes an emotional connection.
The idea of any logo being objectively better than another is silly and I wouldn't condone serious discussion of it here or anywhere else. Let loose and have some fun! Enjoy the polls for what they are and keep voting!

i have to agree with that comment. it's clear now that certain fans of Canadian teams (namely Edmonton and Vancouver) are stuffing the vote and are voting for their team and NOT which logo is actually better. that awful, hideous Canuck logo over the classic Red Wing? are you f'in blind?
get 100 diehard hockey fans in a room and ask them which are the better logos between Edmonton/Chicago and Detroit/Vancouver.. and 90 will say Detroit and Chicago easily.
the Cancuks logo is just a rip off of the Habs.. and a bad one at that. nothing original or unique about it. and as stated, their logo/uni's have ALWAYS been one of the worst in the league. so quit voting for your team and start being fair and vote for the logos.
To the most recent comment: Why do you guys feel your opinions should carry more weight than others? Did you read the comment I just wrote? Just because you think "100 diehard hockey fans" would vote one way doesn't make it true.
If you don't like the tournament, you can choose not to visit the blog anymore. I appreciate everyone's opinion equally and that's why these polls are here.
Vote for the logo you think is better for whatever reason you choose. Whether it's because it's your team or because you just think the logo looks better, it's all about personal opinion. Take it easy and have a little fun!

My comment that you replied too was actually for the poster above me who had said you should have skewed the votes to let the Sharks go against the Red Wings. I agree completely with what you said and how this whole thing is being done. Thanks for the fun site and once again giving the Canucks fans another way to piss off everyone else in the league. :D It's all fun guy's and gal's
were these polls fair, i wouldn't say that either of these logos is guaranteed to beat the blues or coyotes in the next round. most honest people would take the wings, blues, or yotes logo over this p.o.s. logo the canucks have, but alas, vancouverites will doubtlessly do whatever they can to honor their blessed orca... ugly and uninspired as it is.

Just out of curiousity...the other 3 logos you mention...what exactly is "inspiring" about any of them?
The fact that the nucks are beating the red wings is a travesty.

The canucks logo isin't bad, nor is the detroit one. Personally i like both. These type of polls get useless when people say the redwings should win because they were apart of the original 6. Polls are peoples opinions, if you dont like the outcome of any poll, that simply means there are other people out there who have a different view than you. Deal with it.

I've always posted my opinions on which logo I choose to vote on as just that.. opinions. I try and explain my reasoning each and every time, but sometimes I vote purely on how I feel about the team(s) attached as well.
However, if anyone ever catches me putting down someone else for what they think is nicer/better/etc., feel free to ban me commenting. heh. (I know it's not exactly possible), give me hell for it.
Loosen up people, this isn't Sports Illustrated, there are no defining factors for judging, and it was always going to come down to which logo had the most fans... Right from the beginning.. If you thought otherwise, you weren't ever really paying attention.
On that note. Canucks take this one, because blue/grey/white is a stronger presence than red/white for me, and that tired old over-drawn wheel and wing set has never, and will never, hold any interest for me.
I don't know how you whinny people keep saying that it's "Canadian ballot stuffers", you can only vote once a day. So if all the Canuck fans are beating the other 29 teams fans combined, either the Canucks have that huge of a following or the other 29 teams fans are split 50/50 on which logo is better.

ok this is a farking tragedy, I hate the wings, but the logo is classic, the vancouver logo is corperate trash period, you nuck fans should be ashamed voting like this, have some prid mother f-ers. Bring back the stick and rink and i say vancouver, but not the orca bay logo, complete sh*t
I live in Vancouver and am a fan of the Canucks, but can't condone voting for Canucks over Red Wings. The Red Wings simply have a better logo.

No offense to the creator, but if the Red Wings don't win this one i'll never visit the site again. A classic original six team and logo can not lose to a team that has changed it's logo multiple times and has no identity. The fans of Vancouver don't even like the Orca. AWFUL!

Other than the fact that they're shaped like a C you don't have much else to go by there...they aren't very similar. Maybe Detroit ripped off the Habs because they're both red...its the same argument...both incredibly stupid.

Look at the poll start dates...look at the vote totals...at this rate the Canucks will have twice as many votes when they get to the same point in the voting...kthanxbye
Canuck fans aren't as depressed over the Michigan Wolverines losing to App State as Red Wings fans are. :D
Now everything is perfectly clear!
