i really like the canucks blue/white scheme, but i mean.. ya can't beat the red wings.
I think the "Vancouver" over the top of the orca is part of the logo. Where ever you look, on the website, or on NHL.com, you see them paired up. Is there any reason why it's been left out?
So, if this poll is for just the orca it wins. But if it should change to include "Vancouver" its days are numbered.
classic or no classic, the Red Wings need a new look! The leafs and the Rangers need to follow suit too. Montreal's will always stay the same(i hope) and the Blackhawks have potential to change.

I thought the green looked all right too (not so monochrome) but blue is really their primary color. Green is only found on the jersey, not the logo. That's why I changed it.

I think the "Vancouver" over the top of the orca is part of the logo. Where ever you look, on the website, or on NHL.com, you see them paired up. Is there any reason why it's been left out?
Executive decision. If it's not attached, I don't consider it part of the logo (Dallas excepted). Anyway, it looks bad in the square with the text. You might also notice on NHL.com the Wild logo has text above it. I'm not convinced.

It's kind of weird. On NHL.com they have the Wild's text above the logo on the front page, but on the teams page they don't, yet on the teams page they have the Coyotes' text under the logo...so yeah, I don't think NHL.com is the definitive site for official logos.
red wings beat the nucks hands down, the nucks have a good logo, but not even close to being good enough to beat the wings.
No contest. The Canucks logo is improved with the new color scheme, but the Wings have arguably the best logo in pro sports.

i voted for the nucks because they still use the old logo on the other uni's and that one is better that the wings
People have been saying that the Canucks are getting votes because their fans are voting for the team and not the logo, and to an extent I'm sure that is more then truthful. But it goes the other way as well...how many people are going to vote for the Wings just because it has a great history behind it. If a team were to come up with this logo in this day and age, fans across the league would think it looks ridiculous. Take away the legendary status and it's nothing more then a couple of wings attached to a tire.
I can't believe the Canucks beat the Sharks. The Canucks logo is horribly ugly, even more so now than it used to be. Now I'm going to be honest, I am a Red Wings fan, but even if I wasn't Detroit takes this hands down.
I think Vancouver can beat Detroit, it will be close, 51% to 49% I guess.
But it is safe to say the winner of this will go to semi finals, seeing as Its either Blues or Coyotes next round.. guaranteed victory for either of these logos.
This is going to be a battle of Canucks fan VS "Original 6" homers with the rest just tipping the scale... honestly, i know its blasphemy to must but the red wings LOGO isnt that great, its kinda boring and it almost the same thing as the flyers logo (which also apparently CANNOT be voted against because its old. I am a canucks fan but being objective i think the orca (with new colour sceme) is still a better logo, teams aside.
I don't see what's so good about the wings logo, Sure, it was nice at one time, but now it doesn't have that same impact as it once did.
It's amazing how many people i have to point out to that it's a tire and a wing. I'm voting for the canucks, there new logo's are sleek, and they represent their location and city a lot better than detroit does.

It's true that one beside the other, the Canucks logo is quite good. Especially with the new colors.
I know a lot of persons didn't like the new Vancouver jersey, but It's a great jersey. Yes, a lot of things are not correct. Yes the wording, yes the fact that all the previous things seems attached to, etc.
But now the Canucks have one of the best looking color scheme of the league. They have found an identity, blue and green. Their original colors, in fact. The orca logo is correct, and in silver not that bad. In fact, 10 000 times better now. A lot of young kids have grown with that logo attached to the Canucks, and that cannot be forgotten. Take that in consideration haters.
These fans have the right to like this logo, same thing with the fans of the ring logo.
Vancouver jersey is not perfect, but it's a beautiful color scheme, great patches on the shoulders, good looking logo in silver, a wording we will finally love, and a great classic feel. Sharp and true, new and old. So please people stop complaining about that great jersey.
I will vote for the orca now, and buy a Canucks jersey (home) in two weeks. I'm proud of that team and that jersey.

Wow, that hideous shamu is beating an original six team logo, i know we all have our canadian pride, but give me a break.
You know, I've never really thought about it until now but what is the point of a wheel with wings on it? Yes I am aware that Detroit is the motor city but still even though Detroits uniforms overall are probably the best, the actual logo itself could use some work.
Please stop this contest right now, this is getting ridiculous, or atleast change the title to "Which team has most fans". Edmonton beating Chicago is a joke, as it is Vancouver leading Detroit.
Im kinda sick of all this talk about how the homers are causing one team to win over the other. Face it, there is obviously something to be said about the actual quality of the logos.
Even if it was all the homers voting for the Canucks for instance, there are still the other fans from around the league, who also vote here. There is no way that only the homers could beat the rest of the league's fans.
Simply, some fans from other teams, including myself, prefer the Canucks logos over the Detroit logo.

wow...some people are taking this like it's for the Cup...it's for fun. If one team wins because they have more fans who love their team and logo more then the other, more power to them...detroits logo is a classic but is boring and out of date.
The Canucks have always had one of the worst logos in every season since they joined the NHL.
Give me a break. I know this is just some online poll, but if I was running this site, I would have skewed the votes in round one let the Sharks take on the Wings.
