Wallpaper Wednesday VIII
14 CommentsAll the third jersey news caused me to skip last week's Wallpaper Wednesday but it's back now with some really great artwork to adorn your computer. Last time, we finished things off with Saku Koivu. Well I liked this one so much, I'm starting with him today.
Here's Alex Ovechkin — I believe we've had him featured in this series a few times before.
Got a logo-based wallpaper for the Senators.
Not too sure why Crosby's so prominent in it though, even if he is face first on the ice.
I've been sent several Islanders wallpapers. These were some of the best ones — Bruno Gervais and Trent Hunter.
This one highlights the future of the Isles.
And finally, this one speaks for itself.

its funny cause onm the sens wall paper, it shows them shaking hands with the pens after being swept
I thought I would like this feature a lot but in fact, I'm quite disapointed each wednesday.

a lot of islanders and canadiens wallpapers... ive only seen 2 for the pens so far and both of them are players now on the wings... someone throw some decent pens ones out there
P.O there have only been 4 habs wallpapers all-time.
can't blame chris it's people who send it in.
I'm an Isles fan.. can't blame me for making a bunch of Isles ones *shrugs*
I can give some other teams a shot next week, if you'd like to e-mail me a picture or two to use (prefarably LARGE pictures that won't be distorted much when blown up) of your favorite team/player. I refuse to make a Rangers, Flyers, or a Maple Leafs one though. :-P

gretzky one is nice, but too dark...or i just need to fix my monitor.
I should really start submitting to this, I found the islanders young guys one confusing looking at one number and reading another.
The first number is the player's age, the second one is the jersey number
I made the sens one, i felt i needed to be unbiased for my site and make desktops for all teams. As a leafs fan, making a good sens one is hard to do.... so i through in some bitter images for them, all of them are from their first round exit to Pittsburgh!

The first two Isles ones are too busy for wallpapers, but would be good as other graphics. The one highlighting the Isles youth is unique and clean though, nice work.
I want a Florida Panthers one!!
I may be in the minority here but I'd like to see some wallpapers with no photographs of players used in the design. I've never used a photo based wallpaper because I just find them distracting.
It may be boring to some, but I always think less is more when it comes to wallpapers. The Gretzky one for instance is pretty nifty, I like that a lot.
I agree with you on that one. That's why my designs are all logo based
