Wallpaper Wednesday VIII

All the third jersey news caused me to skip last week's Wallpaper Wednesday but it's back now with some really great artwork to adorn your computer. Last time, we finished things off with Saku Koivu. Well I liked this one so much, I'm starting with him today.

Here's Alex Ovechkin — I believe we've had him featured in this series a few times before.

Got a logo-based wallpaper for the Senators.

Not too sure why Crosby's so prominent in it though, even if he is face first on the ice.

I've been sent several Islanders wallpapers. These were some of the best ones — Bruno Gervais and Trent Hunter.

This one highlights the future of the Isles.

And finally, this one speaks for itself.

Wallpaper Wednesday VII

We're beginning with one of the most popular teams on this blog for today's post. Canucks fans, enjoy this Roberto Luongo wallpaper.

For Lightning fans like myself, there's Vinny Lecavalier...

...or a more generic team wallpaper.

And at last, Canadiens fans have been begging for it... a Habs wallpaper!

Plus we've got one more for Saku Koivu.

Hope you guys enjoy this week's crop. And to anyone who has sent in a wallpaper but hasn't seen it posted, not to worry. It doesn't mean I'll never post it. I'm saving a bunch by posting about five a week so as to ensure I won't run out too quickly and have to switch to a biweekly schedule like the Freak Out Friday series.

Wallpaper Wednesday VI

Another Wednesday brings another set of wallpapers — all player-centric. First is Brad Boyes of the Blues.

We had a cool Bruins wallpaper last week based around Marc Savard. The same artist brings us Zdeno Chara this time around.

Like Trevor Linden? Apparently he is forever a Canuck.

And last, we have a simple design for Flyer Jeff Carter.

Keep the wallpapers coming guys if you want this to continue to be a weekly series. Otherwise, I'll just go ahead and make it a biweekly series like the Freak Out Friday.

Wallpaper Wednesday V

Today's edition brings us seven new wallpapers to choose from. But before I get to those, I wanted to address something about artwork submission. I don't want to call anyone out, but you guys can't be sending me stuff to post that doesn't belong to you. It's not fair to the artist. I know sometimes you might find great artwork on another web site that you want to share with everyone here. That's fine and I'm willing to make an exception so long as you attribute the source so I can link back.

Now onto today's wallpapers. We'll begin with one for Bruin Marc Savard.

I like this one a lot — which is why I'm posting it first. Not to be outdone, a couple of Flyers fans put together some cool designs.

And we can't leave out the league's rising stars including Minnesota's Marian Gaborik...

...as well as Washington's Alex Ovechkin.

I think we'll finish out the post with a couple of logo-based backgrounds.

Wallpaper Wednesday IV

I've been at work for 15 hours today so forgive me if this post is less chipper than usual. I'm lucky to be posting at all at this point. But it is Wednesday so you deserve your wallpapers for the week. Today's post is rather player-focused.

Up first is Wild goalie Nicklas Backstrom.

Also got Bruin Phil Kessel inside some broken glass, I think.

A rather informative wallpaper for Ducks netminder Jonas Hiller.

This next one is all about the future of the only NHL team never to make the postseason (sorry Blue Jackets fans).

And lastly, newly signed Red Wings goaltender Ty Conklin up close and personal.

By the way, keep the wallpaper artwork coming. I'm starting to run low. And if I run out, we're going to have to skip a week.
