IHA Poll: St. Louis Spirit

This is the final IHA logo poll. It closes on Monday so sometime in the middle of next week I'll post all the winners and this project will be complete.

I actually like the concept of #3 better than #1 (coming right at you), but I prefer the execution of #1 because the plane stands out more. If you switched the white and red in #3 and maybe thickened up the plane, it would probably be my choice.
Went with #1. Would work best on a jersey. #2 would be a nice secondary. I was hoping to see a different spin on Spirit than the obvious. Maybe a ghost...that type of spirit.
I did #1... was going to go the 'ghost' route but didn't think people would get it. I've actually already done a Spirit logo using that theme. I could have saved myself an hour or two and just submitted that.
Thanks to all that have voted for #1, nice to see one of mine doing well (so far) after taking a beating on the Millers and Crusaders. :)

Option three is a tighter more modernized version of logo and gets my nod.
roccot....I'd love to see the ghost one. I thought of that a few days ago, not as obvious as the plane but still an accurate concept for "Spirit".

I'd like to have posted a link to my Generals and Knights logos that didn't make it but didn't think it was right after all the backlash for the first IHA logos that didn't make the cut that Chris used to post. I thought they were better than my winning Columbus Brigade logo.
drat - i had submitted a 'ghost-y' logo concept, guess i didn't make the cut.
When we present the wordmarks, can we switch the name to the Spirit of St. Louis?
maybe it's just me, but the only one i could see on a jersey is number 2 and even that would probably be as a secondary or on a 3rd jersey.
I did a jersey for #1. I thought it looked better on a shirt than on its own. Think Ranger white with the logo.
I am sure there would be many different winners for the IHA if the logos were presented as a complete package including jerseys. Some great logos just don't cut it on a jersey.
I liked the hidden hockey sticks in #2 so I chose it.
#1 in a landslide. Showing the plane at an angle instead of straight on was the clincher for me.
Chris, can you also update the links for each team in the IHA Central Division?
The Third was by far my favorite. #1 would be my second choice though.

Hey Chris, what happened to that Freak out Friday you said you were going to post last friday?
1 and 3 are really great. Compliments. I went with 1 cuz I like the angle of the plane.
3 is 100% a shoulder patch. Too wide to be a main logo.
Great work, especially option 1 and 3... The only problem I have is to imagine those logos on jerseys... maybe some special work with the arches...
