Canucks 3rd Jersey Sked

The Vancouver Canucks will wear their third jerseys 15 times in the 2009-10 campaign. Canucks Hockey Blog posted the schedule today but didn't cite a source so I'm not sure from where this information originates. Still, why would they make it up?
Canucks fans, mark your calendars. Here is this season's third jersey schedule:

- Sat., October 24 - vs Maple Leafs
- Tues., November 3 - vs Rangers
- Sun., November 22 - vs Blackhawks
- Sun., November 29 - vs Sharks
- Thurs., December 10 - vs Thrashers
- Wed., December 16 - vs Ducks
- Sat., December 26 - vs Oilers
- Sat., January 9 - vs Flames
- Sat., January 16 - vs Penguins
- Mon., January 25 - vs Sabres
- Sat., March 13 - vs Senators
- Sat., March 20 - vs Red Wings
- Tues., March 30 - vs Coyotes
- Tues., April 6 - vs Avalanche
Every night of the week but Friday gets its shot with the alternate.
In case you missed it, the Thrashers also announced their third jersey schedule.

I wish the Canucks had more creative 3rds, but I'm glad to see they'll be wearing them on the January 9th game I'm going to!
Brenden I wouldn't worry, I'm confident that the Canucks will have yet another jersey change after the Olympics (They will probably axe the VANCOUVER lettering). Hopefully I'll be able to attend a game on one of those nights!
Boy, I'd hate to miss seeing the Canucks' 3rd jersey that looks almost identical to their regular home jersey.

The Canucks need to have their third jerseys become their primaries and get on with it.
G-Man, the stick-in-rink jerseys have become very played out (Direct quote from Chris). I think that It's time to go in a different direction. Possibly Johnny V on a green jersey (another direct Chris quote, just so many things he says that I agree with).
I'd like to see Johnny Canuck on a green third jersey.
Id like to see the Canucks do what the Oilers did this year and swich the 3rd and make it the home.
Awesome I really enjoy this jersey! And that is saying alot because I am not what you would call a fan of the "stick in rink" logo.
Always have loved the thirds. However, I have heard rumours going around that the Canucks will go with the full-body Johnny Canuck as the full-time crest in 2010-11. I would love nothing more than to see Johnny Canuck on a green sweater. However, what would you think of Johnny Canuck being on a vibrant navy sweater full-time? Afterall, there is navy in the full-body JC logo. Kind of keeps the slogan, "Believe in Blue" going. However, I still prefer green. Something different.
I like the 3rd jersey. It's simple, bold and classic. Wish it was their primary jersey.
The Canucks' third sweaters just became a part of team history last night! A 7-1 thumping of the Canadiens was the largest margin of victory in the Canucks' history against Montreal. I remember all those Hab blowout wins over the Canucks at the Forum and at the Pacific Coliseum during the 70s and 80s. It was sickening to hear those "Go Habs Go" chants. Blowing out Montreal was great, but wearing those beautiful thirds was the cherry on top of the sundae.
I agree with above...a predominantly green jersey, with Johnny Canuck skating, perhaps in front of a large "V", would be awesome. Keep the blue helmets and pants, and Vancouver would have a "uni" that would actually be unique in the league (i.e. who else wears green?).

What do you think of having the Johnny Canuck V on a green sweater? While I have always loved the all-green look of the Whalers and North Stars, I totally agree with you on keeping the blue helmets and pants with a green sweater and matching socks. Because there is more blue in the JC V logo, there would be more of a contrast. Take the Flyers for example. Their black Flying P on the orange sweaters has a sharp look to it, considering Philly wears black helmets and pants. As much as I love the full-body JC logo, I think the JC V on green would look great. Cheers!
