This is pathetic. By looking at the results of this poll, I think we all can probably assume that quite a good portion of people voting in these polls are children that don't really vote for the best logo, just for their favorite team. OF course I am sure we have some adult Oiler homers here too, but come on. This is NOT a tough choice. The Chicago logo in my opinion is EASILY in the top 3 in all of sports and definitely the best in the NHL. It's a really nice logo, and frankly does not burn my eyes when I look at that Oilers logo. What is that thing? Oh yes, it's just a white circle with a little oil dripping from the top. Wow. I still can't believe this....
Pathetic is what I would call someone who finds a slap in the face to all natives one of the top 3 logos. I don't think a mocking picture of your relatives would be appropriate on the front of a jersey either.

I stand corrected, ottawa. The Blackhawks were not named after a Native American tribe. They were named after a military unit that was named after a leader of a Native American tribe. Thanks for helping me out with making that distinction.
I couldn't vote for either the Thrashers or the Sabres. Both logo's are hideous.
As of the Blackhawks logo over the Oilers, I am kind of split. I like the Blackhawk on it's own as an image, but as a logo it is too busy.
if the hawks lose this-its a shame. come on people theres so much history behind this old indian head! its a classic! they may not be the best team ever-but they certainly have the best logo ever-not just in hockey but in all sports

Being Native American myself, my family and I do not find this logo to be racist or offensive at all. The problem that was with the redskins was because it was a racial insult; the Illini debate was because of the fact that it was an actual headdress and they were mocking the dances. So don't try saying its racist and thats why you are not voting for it as being an amazing logo. If you don't like it thats all you need to say.
yes a terrible shame if the "Indian head" loses out. Too bad there isn't an african american man picking cotton crest to make this one only the second most stereotypical logo around.
Can't believe Edmonton's logo is winning. I'm Canadian and do prefer the Oilers as a team but c'mon, Chicago's logo has to be in the top 5 in the league, no question.

I've never understood what makes the Chicago logo so amazingly good that people wet their pants. Frankly it's too busy.
A logo shoudl be simple enough that a child can draw it, and with that criteria I puck the Oilers.

I don't understand the love for the Blackhawks logo either. Classic? sure.. but classic != good.
Too many colors, too many lines, and no real reason to be attached to it for me..
Still, people like what they like. Personally, I can't stand it, so Oilers get the nod.
Blackhawks logo is way too busy. The Oilers is just that...the Oilers. It's plain, simple, and classic.
People think the hawks is one of top logo's in support...well obviously this tight race and narrow margin of a lead by the Oilers logo proves it is not the best design in sport.
To me I think it looks "old and tired" and too much like a cartoon.
I voted for the Oilers cause I am a total homer.
And the Black Hawks logo is not as great as some people think it is.

I am a blackhawks fan and i don't like our logo it is too racist. My vote for the oilers.
I like the Hawks logo. It's steeped in history and tradition. But so does the Oilers logo. I'm an Oil fan and love the logo more.

Its great to see fans supporting a great designed logo instead of being caught up in nostalgia and imagined past history...as mentioned in many above posts the hawks jersey is old and uninspiring and is past its prime.
It does not stand up at all to the Oil's crest!!!
The Hawks logo is waqy better then the uncreative oilers logo. I think chicago also has the best jerseys in the NHL, far better then the discusting preds jerseys.
As a Hawks fan, I know it seems kind of obvious I am voting for the Hawks, but I'm voting for it because it is the best logo in sports. PERIOD! It should be Bruins, or Habs VS Chi-town in the finals. The Oilers logo I find is way to plain. Oh by the way, Edmonton stole their jersey format from the Hawks...kinda sad...
I really like the Oilers logo. It's simple and it's remained basically unchanged since the early days of the franchise. Not to take anything away from the Hawks logo, but I'm voting for the Oilers.

That Chicago crest reminds me of an old T.V. test pattern...with a few more colors
