The Oilers design & color scheme are both superior Oilers should win this one no problem. Just because your an original 6 team doesn't give you a golden pass. Oilers will & should win.

When someone can explain _exactly_ why the Blackhawks have the best sweaters and logo, I might finally understand because I see nothing in them.
The logo is generic looking and too busy. The jerseys, don't like the striping.
Can someone tell me why having the face of a native American in traditional headdress on the jersey of a team named after a military unit named after a native American chief is racist? Wow, that term gets thrown around carelessly.

hardcore canucks fan here and what i cant understand is why people think the blackhawks logo is so great..... sure its got the whole story to it and what not but its just so freakin ugly!!!! i dont get why people think it actually looks good. i had no problem deciding in this one. i love the oilers logo, its simple and its great

Team names like the Redskins, I can understand the issue. The Blackhawks with a symbol of Chief Blackhawk on the front? Not so much.

oilers logo is good, this is a good battle here. But the Hawks logo is more impressive in my opinion based on artistry and detail. I don't think it is too busy at all and frankly calling it old and unispiring in light of the Oilers logo is a bit of a stretch in my opinion.
i agree that being an original 6 team doesn't get you a free pass but the same can be said for a Canadian team, which I see alot of people basing their votes on here.
I find the Oilers logo politicaly incorrect. It advertises the Oil industry and justifies corporate controle of our lives and supports global warming and polution.
The Edmonton Oiler's logo is not the better choice because the Oiler's fan base is large and potentially voting more often. It is clearly the best logo in the NHL because of the way it "smiles" at you and it's classic character. As others have said, it has stood the test of time, the colours are perfect and it boldly states our proud team name. Oilers hands down. (:
The Oilers logo is much better then the Chicago Logo. I really don't want to vote for the Oilers...but i really have no choice it is actually very cool when you study it for any length of time.

Chicago should win this tournament. I'm a Habs fan but Chicago has the best looking jerseys in the league. The logo is a beauty.
you've got to be kidding me... how is this even close? it's the blackhawks people - one of the greatest logos (not just jerseys) of all time.
I have to chuckle when some of the DIE HARD Chi fans whine in their posts that their logo is great...rich in history? lol and the best logo in sport. Sure the hawks have been around along time and were part of the original 6 teams ...but never have i heard anyone say their logo or uniforms were nice. Sorry Chi fans but I have to vote for the Oilers logo it NEVER grows old.
The Hawks logo is one of the worst logo's in any sport. It makes my skin crawl just to look at it. This logo fails on so many levels

After reading some of the comments, I feel as if I should be obligated to vote for the hawks the logo...
But like one of the other posters commented who was "a graphics designer with many awards"... I am also a graphics designer, but I'm not as decorated as the said poster. I find the chicago logo ugly. That said, I am very much a minimalist, and messy logos with too much detail really make me vomit.
Not that I have a problem with alternative design concepts that differ from my own, but this is a subjective poll and will be treated as such.
To the graphic designer that says oilers logo hands down...you must be unemployed at the moment. There is a reason the Blackhawk logo was voted the most beautiful IN PROFESSIONAL SPORTS let alone hockey. That reason isn't because everyone voting was from Chicago or a Hawks fan. Take your arse back to school and get a real degree jack. The oiler logo is one of the ugliest, uncreative, and pointless logos I have ever seen. To think that you biased Oiler fans are so worried about this upcoming season that you are desperate enough to win at anything and vote for the clearly worse logo is beyond me. At the end of the day, win lose or draw, you won't take away what has been given to the Blackhawk logo for years, and that's envy.

Yeah cause if we put a bunch of buildings then that would be a cooler logo than an Indian Head. WTF man, you should dip your head in shame.
Admit it Oiler fans, you are ONLY voting for the Oil because you're a fan of the team and don't want to admit anything is else is better.
Yes lets all bow down to the great drop of Oil spewing from the top of a CIRCLE. YIPPIE! The Hawks logo is a classic, and still beautiful. It was voted the best logo IN ALL SPORTS for a reason. Seriously, lets keep it fair, and just take the rose covered glasses off for once!

Chicago Blackhawks founder Frederic McLaughlin had served as commander of the 333rd Machine-Gun Battalion of the 85th (Blackhawk) division of the U.S. Army (based in Illinois). The division's nickname commemorated Blackhawk, a prominent Indian of the early 1800's, so McLaughlin chose the Blackhawks for the team's name in honor of his military unit.

I mean, honestly, can there be a legitamate vote for a circle with letters and an oil drop? The only beautiful part of the oiler logo is history. That I can respect. As far as design or beauty, it's about as nice as a Ford Fiesta...that has some history too and I'm sure it wouldn't match up to a Ferrari Enzo.
I love the Oilers logo, it's simple and looks great on a jersey.
I can't see what all the hype is over the hawks logo...
