Tie-breaking Since the playoff format is not points-based, the winning logo will be determined by the total number of votes received rather than the percentage. In the unlikely event of an exact tie, a 24-hour run-off poll will be held the following day.

Notes As stated, the NHL vs AHL bonus polls will be split up between this week and next since 30 polls would be far too many for a single voting period. The next logo tournament will also be announced this week so keep an eye out for that.

MTL vs. HAM-- HOW IS MONTREAL WINNING?????? The Bulldogs logo is one of the best in all of pro hockey!! Montreal's is just a C inside an H!!!

i like the sound tigers, the crunch and the new checkers. whats funny is boston and chicago. they are destroying their ahl counter part. but the marlies are beating the leafs? and im going to say it now, the moose is gonna be the last one standing.
with the moose, its a whole package. they have the best jersey in the league. the numbers on the sleeves and back make it the coolest.
^^Boston is winning becuase it' s the original, and the two are so close. The blackhawks are winning because it's a damn good logo. The leafs are losing becuase it's a really frigging boring logo and the marlies have a legitimately good one.
Also, how are the amerks only beating florida by a 10% margin? That one should have the same margin as the Boston/ providence matchup. The Amerks have the better logo by far, it's no contest.

i think the amerks have the most classy, clean-cut logo in hockey.
and, as a torontonian, i would much rather the leafs' new jerseys had a more stylized leaf.

DUNCAN is right.... both those logos suck. I didn't vote for either of them.
I'm also surprised about the amerks-panthers, amerks should win by a landslide...
I can't vote for that Calgary Mustangs logo, it looks like too much of a rip off of the Denver Broncos logo.

MGB09- i said that early on, but think about how its also a lot like the san diego chargers logo. if they had a hybrid logo, it would be the mustangs.
Ducks vs. Crunch was a hard one. I ended up going Ducks, just because it isn't bafflingly terrible like the Crunch crest. What is that thing, anyway? Is that a crunch? Kind of looks like a monitor lizard with a bad toupee.
DUNCAN got it perfect, the worst NHL logo just happens to be affiliated with the worst AHL logo.
Go Moose though, best logo/unis/and font in the AHL, and better than most NHL for that matter.

The Crunch logo btw is SUPPOSED to be an "Albino Gorilla" apparently he's so upset about being albino that he wants to beat himself to death,
What's wrong with the Panthers' logo? I mean, I am a Panthers fan, but I've always thought the Cats had one of the nicer logos in the NHL. I get that the Americans have a nice simple logo, but the Panthers logo deserves some love! It's certainly one of the nicer modern NHL logos out there.
By the way, here's an idea for a mini-tournament: Best logo by decadeYou just make it by decade the team came into existence. So you have the Original 6, the c/o 67, Teams of the 70s, Teams of the 80s (which is just Calgary vs New Jersey), teams of the 90s, and Columbus vs Minnesota for the 2000s (you could group them into the 90s if you wanted, call it "the 90s and beyond"). To save you the time, here's the breakdown:
Original 6 (6 teams): Canadiens, Maple Leafs, Bruins, Blackhawks, Red Wings, Rangers
Class of 67 (4 teams): Kings, Flyers, Penguins, Blues
Teams of the 70s (5 teams): Sabres, Canucks, Islanders, Capitals, Oilers
Teams of the 80s (2 teams): Flames, Devils
The 90s and Beyond (13 teams): Sharks, Lightning, Senators, Ducks, Panthers, Stars, Avalanche, Coyotes, Hurricanes, Predators, Thrashers, Blue Jackets, Wild
Yes, there are 2 odd-numbered groups, but there are creative ways to make those work. Call it "The Logo of the Decade" Tournament. Just a thought...
@Drew: there are a lot of things wrong with the panthers logo IMO. It's unbalanced- it's extremely top heavy, and that makes it look awkward. It's way too busy and detailed- the lines are simply indistinct, it looks like a muddled mess from any sort of distance. Hell, even up close it looks like a mess. It's by far the most overly complicated logo in the NHL, including ones like Nashville and Ottawa that are frequently criticized for being overdone. It has 4 colors, which while not in itself a bad thing, combined with the over detailing and the lack of clean lines really hurts it. Quite simply, it's bad.
I think of it as the second worst in the league, behind only the logoless ducks. The sabres got themselves off the list by going with anything but the slug, and the preds got themselves off that list by simplifying their logo, which did wonders. The simplified third jersey logo for the panthers shows progress, but I honestly think they need to start over.

Although you should include the defunt teams that came into the NHL in those years. IE, the Nordiques in 1979, the Whalers, the Jets, the Seals. Oh, and you can't leave out the St. Pats or the Maroons.
if the panthers start over, they need to figure out their colors. are the blue and red, or are they dark and light blue? and please, get rid of the FLA logo with the sun, thats the stupidest logo i've seen in a long time
I like the Panther logo. I don't think it is top heavy at all. It is supposed to be pouncing, so the large head and fore paws give it perspective. I just don't like that the logo is gold and the stripes on the jersey are yellow.
Syracuse is bad...really bad. And every time they change affiliations, they change the color of the logo to match the parent club - whether it works or not.

With a team that's called Crunch, I think this franchise is doomed to have terrible logos for the rest of its existence.

I think I stayed with the crowd on every one except the Phantoms. I've always loved that logo...
Panthers vs Amerks was the hardest.
Moose, Checkers, Tigers, Bulldogs, and Marlies all blow their NHL counterparts out of the water. The funny thing is that gorgeous Marlies logo could absolutely work for the Leafs.
