IceHL JDC: Calgary Cavalry

Time to pick jerseys! Choose up to 3 of your favorite Calgary Cavalry jersey designs. All 15 sets are listed in random order; the VOTE button is at the bottom of the page. The jersey set that collects the most votes wins.
Results will be revealed after voting closes and will remain hidden until that time. (Notes: The 3-letter codes are meant to help distinguish each design and keep anonymity of designers. Also, don't worry if a design lacks polish. If necessary, the winning design will be cleaned up before it's declared "official.")

Usually the white and dark jerseys have similar colors and similar designs and striping. The burgundy didn't stand out on my navy jersey, and the orange stood out too much on my white jersey. After a lot of thought, I decided to go and use the different colors on the jerseys and totally omit the other. Is it a different idea? Yes. But I think it works. (Kind of like the New York Giants having red numbers and striping on their white jersey without any blue, and not having any red on their blue jerseys.)
MCB. Love the sweeping flames.
Otherwise, there werent that many jerseys here that really caught my eye.
The color scheme makes a lot of these remind me of the old Thrashers jerseys, which isn't really a good thing in my mind.
I love LNS's Ontario Reign inspired jerseys, I just don't think it suits this team. Very good thinking though ! Worthy of a vote, none the less.
Rellay love the Flames on MCB's Jersey. My vote goes to you! I had alot of trouble with this set trying to get it to look good. Love the logo... not so much the colour scheme.
I feel like WOJ has the nicest looking jersey here. The only thing I would change is the colour of the jersey itself. The colour palette for this team isn't great at all, but the logo is great- and the logo stands out on the navy blue jersey more. Also, I really like BEG's set.
I like the flames on MCB's jersey, but here's my question: why are they there? This isn't the jersey for Calgary's NHL team. It's for the IceHL's Cavalry. Soldiers on horseback.
Flames shooting up the sides wouldn't look good on the Kodiaks' or the Sharpshooters' jerseys. I just think it takes away from the design contest by tying it in with the Flames.
My vote went to GUP, I think the suble lightning bolt stripes go great with the logo.

To be honest I never really thought of the Calgary Flames when I designed this jersey, I didn't really think of the similarity until after I saw it on here. The flames were added because I thought the logo and colours had a sort of fiery look to them. Also I was listening to Metallica while designing it so that probably had something to do with it as well ;)

I took your navy jersey and put the red Flames C on it. It looks better than any of the dark jersey they ever had (with the exception of the original red ones).
I guess I really like guys who take risks and think outside the box, but it seems the contest winners are a little predictable and conservative. Not to be too negative, but the Edmonton logo features a capital E that has three horizontal lines. The Oilers jerseys also have three horizontal lines, with the middle one a different color than the outside two. It seems half of the jersey designs for the Kodiaks follow the same three line pattern, some with that color change. I think that's up there with the overuse of the Montreal torso stripe.
You know I never thought about it but the Flames should try navy as a third colour instead of black (if they really feel they need a third colour). The definitely need a change though, I never liked the black "burnt out" C.
