Tournament Notes The poll to watch last week was Blackhawks-Kings. Despite starting out strong, the Kings were edged out in the end. ... The AJHL Tournament of Logos continues this week, running concurrently with the NHLToSL playoffs. Scroll down to vote in the AJHLToL.
Tie-breaking Since the playoff format is not points-based, the winning logo will be determined by the total number of votes received rather than the percentage. In the unlikely event of an exact tie, a 24-hour run-off poll will be held the following day. (This will shorten the subsequent round of voting by one day.)

i gotta feeling its gonna be johnny c vs the weagle. should be a good showdown. still going to back the weagle 100%. but i dont understand is who is voting for the dragons. thats the weirdest look dragon ive ever seen, and it looks like snot running out its nose.
Weagle VS Johnny V-Nuck is a sure-fire thing I think. Gonna be a close match-up this time around, both logos are very sharp.
Someone tell the Canucks about this poll. They really need to drop the orca and go with Johnny Canuck full time. Even Luongo wears that logo on his hat during interviews.
the mustang still looks like the child of the san diego chargers and denver broncos logo... also, weagle shall own the blackhawks mark.

I love the Canucks, and I respect what Johnny Canuck stands for, but I cannot vote for a logo that was ripped straight from a pastry company (Vachon, in case you are not aware). It also kind of reminds me of a carrot.

@ Blade Runner, thats the way is goes in the world of a business. companies and teams use the same logo just change the colors, or twick the picture to make it different. but i like what the canucks have done with johnny. much better that the orca, that it seems to me, everyone hates. i hope they use that new white throwback more, its sharp looking.
@ Hollywood: I must say, that is perhaps an even weirder looking eagle that the dragon is up against.

the Current Johnny Canuck logo is based off the old logo from the 1960's, which has absolutely no relation to Vachon Cakes. jeez.

I can't believe the sharks are winning right now, but that probably won't last. I don't care for Johnny Canuck and I still think that the shark looks bad on the shoulder.
NHL tourney:
SJ/Van- As a Sharks fan, I gotta say that I am rooting for them, although I believe this logo belongs as the primary logo and the fin logo belongs on the shoulder. I have nothing against Vancouver, but I don't see the attraction to the Johnny V logo. It's not that great. Even though it may be better than the orca.
Wash/Chi- Chicago's logo is not bad but the Weagle is just better. Im crossing my fingers for the Sharks to win it all but the Weagle is a damn good logo and deserves to win.
It sucks because it's ugly. I could care less the capitol building is part of it and that it makes a "w". The fact that its this loved on this site is border line offensive.
Any logo that makes use of negative space effectively is good in my books - it's suprising so few teams do so.
I'm a huge Canucks fan, and I love the Johnny Canuck logos, but I think that the Weagle will be taking it all.
Sharkfan - I agree that the Sharks absolutely must have a fin for their shoulder. The full shark looks dumb. An updated/modernized version of their original shoulder patch needs to be made. That might have been the best secondary logo ever. Clean, intimidating, and awesome.
That said, the Weagle is the best current shoulder logo. It should be a primary logo. It is about 10000000000 times better than having a stupid wordmark.
wow moosey, offensive. i wouldn't go that far to say an eagle that makes a "w" is offensive. if we wanna look at it, the blackhawks are offensive. hell even the canucks could be offensive if you think about it. but i know the weagle will win, its a great logo

The Orca is our best logo.....we should stay with it and continue to build our team identity and history. The Johnny Canuck design ranks in the same field as the flying V and the pizza.....yuck, yuck!
Johnny Canuck is a CANADIAN thing.....second world war "mascot"....very patroitic!!!!!!
For some reason I can vote in Caps / Hawks race, but not the Sharks / Vanc? Something seems horribly broken.
HockeyFan2010, nothing's broken — so long as you aren't trying to vote multiple times. You can vote once in each poll. Sometimes votes show up immediately. Sometimes they can be delayed. Just a weird quirk of the system. Rest assured your vote will be counted.

haha crazy. I call spam. Or maybe the marijuana was in short supply today. Or for once there was nothing for people to actually protest against and everyone just spent the day inside. Anyway, this has been exciting.
Clayton, I'm sorry, but the orca is not the best logo for the Canucks. It may represent Canada's west coast, but the reason it was put on the uniforms was because of Orca Bay's corporate ego. Johnny Canuck defines our proud team name and it should be the primary, with either the V version or full-body version. Orca Bay is now a thing of the past, thank goodness, and now it's time to establish a consistant Canuck brand with history and heritage. And that brand includes JC and the Stick 'n Rink logos.
I will never understand the love of that "V" it's absolutely ugly,plain and simple. Adorning a hat, I can forgive. But to display it at full size on a jersey, or the full body, would be awful. As a Moose fan, I like the Canucks, mostly because half of your team is made of former Moose, but if they had to start wearing that....THING, I can assure you I'd be cheering for anyone playing against them.
The only logo worse than that monstrosity is the Cleveland Indians.
And since I know I'll immediately be flamed by "It's a Canadian Icon" no, no it isn't, Johnny Canuck doesn't look a thing like that cartoon two-tone Paul Bunyan wannabe. If anything it looks more like Vancouver is moving from Orca Bay sponsorship over to Brawny Papertowels.

Arrgghh why is the Johnny Canuck logo winning again!?? It's too cartoony! The V is boring and the shape of the logo is very unstylish. I would HATE to see this as a primary logo, but that's besides the point. Even the Hawks logo is better than the Caps' and that's losing too. The Caps logo is okay, but I don't like the bottom of it. The Hawks logo is way more stonger and bold looking.
When the Canucks finally make Johnny Canuck, either the V or the full-body version, the primary crest, it will be the second best thing to happen to this franchise, next to winning a Cup. Actually, this franchise was meant to win the Cup with Johnny in the first place.
