Weird that Pittsburgh used the Flyers logo in their all-star design for 1992.
@ Veritas1325, WHAAAT????????
@ Veritas1325 what are you talking about?
how is the the 2008 atlanta beating the 94 ny game? the bird is ugly. the nyc skyline is so much nicer
i think u mean the generic 80'
and i thought that san jose would do really well.
@J its only the first day and a five vote difference it probably wont last long...i agree though
Buffalo got the game in 1978. Nashville, Anaheim, Columbus and Phoenix should get the game before we start giving it back to cities that already hosted it once (like MTL in 2009).
Bob, Montreal in 2009 was a special case with the 100th anniversary. Speaking of which, that logo should not be beating the Blackhawks logo by any stretch of the imagination...
Bob, your wrong. Buffalo has never hosted the NHL All Star Game.
In the 1978-79 season the NHL did away with the All Star Games and issued a series of Challenge Cup Games featuring a team of NHL All Stars playing against the Soviets.
Further more, it wasn't played in Buffalo. The Challenge Cup was played in Madison Square Garden in NYC. the closest that Buffalo came to the Challenge Cup was having Gilbert Perreault on the NHL All Star Roster.
You are in error about Buffalo, Jeff. While it's true that the 1979 ASG was replaced by the Challenge Cup, the Buffalo Sabres did indeed host the 1978 ASG, with Perreault scoring the game-winner in overtime.
These are all the teams that hosted the All-Star Game between the inception of the East vs. West format in 1969 through 1989 (the last year not included in the poll above): Montreal Canadiens, 1969; St. Louis Blues, 1970; Boston Bruins, 1971; Minnesota North Stars, 1972; New York Rangers, 1973; Chicago Blackhawks, 1974; Montreal Canadiens, 1975; Philadelphia Flyers, 1976; Vancouver Canucks, 1977; Buffalo Sabres, 1978; Detroit Red Wings, 1980; Los Angeles Kings, 1981; Washington Capitals, 1982; New York Islanders, 1983; New Jersey Devils, 1984; Calgary Flames, 1985; Hartford Whalers, 1986; St. Louis Blues, 1988; Edmonton Oilers, 1989.
The Toronto 00' is my all time favourite. I also really like Ottawa '12 and Carolina '11.
I thought for sure the Generic '80 logo would be doing better than it is.....I love it's simplicity and incorporating the hockey sticks is very creative....

In other words, I second Skizzys comment....
the 80's logo is good, but put up against the avs one, it can stand up to it. seems like all the 2000's are winning, maybe cuz the colors are better. who knows
@Jared I never noticed the hockey sticks before. lol
Great stuff as always. Any plans for an Entry Draft poll? Looking forward to seeing Hartford '94 represented.
once again, it is obvious that the columbus blue jackets totally copied the colorado avalanche logo...
