Why is HOJ allowed to use that blue?
The blue used by HOJ and ZON is a minor color available in the team's palette. They chose to use it as a primary uniform color. Now it's up to voters whether or not it should be used.
All the submissions look good. Interesting to see how people thought when creating them. FLS and DAK have almost identical looking white jerseys. Both good too.
Everyone did a great job of avoiding looking like the Sabres or the Blues. That was once concern I thought might come up when using a color palette so similar.
BLB is my favorite despite the fact that I'm not sure why the bottom stripes don't go all the way around. I'm really impressed with the creativity all the way around, especially on GEA's set
I like how Yellow was used on some of the jerseys. in particular the road jersey. Kinda how Nashville used it as their own "identity" I like how some designers brought out the color on the jerseys, in particular the 'road' jersey. STJ, NAJ, LNS in particular. I particularly like the yellow 'road' jersey from NAB
I'd give HAR credit for taking a chance with a strange concept, but I don't think it worked out. Kind of interesting but would probably look weird on the ice.
My vote is for WOJ. It kind of has the old black/red/white Sabres feel on the arms but looks a little different with the diagonal lines on the torso. New Buffalo colors with old Buffalo feel, yet kind of original (hard to explain). Also, the slight touch of the light blue on the away jersey is perfect. Just like the logo.
oh dang i noticed a mistake on TRA's, the armbands don't match on the yellow jersey, unless that was intentional. i voted for it regardless though
I think BLB could work with some changes. Specifically, I was first attracted to the diagonal stripes on the front, but then noticed they sort of just cut out and leave an odd look there.
My favorite by far was MAM. The alternate logo looks awesome with the design and palette of the dark jersey, and the primary definitely looks good on the white jersey. The stripes I like, as a Montreal fan, and I think they were incorporated really well. The sleeves are a little distracting for me, as it alternates between, I think 4 colors, while the accent color that's least present elsewhere on the jersey is the most prominent color on the sleeves. It isn't nearly as bad on the light jersey, as that color is used on the shoulders as well and is less distracting as a result. I think it's probably fine like that, but the dark jersey needs to be adjusted there somehow.
Love the font on BLB's jersey. But not of fan of the diagonal stripes. Just looks strange. Either way good job on the jersey, I voted for it.
I love the unique aspects of GEA's Boston design. The yellow home is very unique along with the logo placement. Not sure how it would look on the ice as an actual jersey but the concept is cool. One last thing I like the chest numbers, takes up some space on the largely empty chest of the jersey. It is on the left side though which is strange, would the 'C'/'A' go on the right side like on the Red Wings and Coyotes' alternate or a different even more unique location like the Bruins did in the 1920s with the letter going in the center of the jersey where the logo usually goes...
