IceHL JDC: Hamilton Steelcats

Time to pick jerseys! Choose up to 10 of your favorite Hamilton Steelcats jersey designs. All 19 sets are listed in random order; the VOTE button is at the bottom of the page. The jersey set that collects the most votes wins.

Results will be revealed after voting closes on Sun., Nov. 27 and will remain hidden until that time. (Notes: The 3-letter codes are meant to help distinguish each design and keep anonymity of designers. Also, don't worry if a design lacks polish. If necessary, the winning design will be cleaned up before it's declared "official.")

Choose up to 10 jersey sets. Click on images to enlarge. Voting ends November 27.

The comments will be open to allow for discussion of the merits of each design. To the designers, you may comment on your work but please do not break the anonymity. To everyone else, keep it civil. Attacks will not be tolerated. You can talk about what you like and what you don't like about them. But if you take the time to write a comment, please explain your positions. If you simply write, "X is cool, or X sucks"... don't expect to see your comment approved. That's all. Happy voting!

Not all submissions are included in voting. Those that did not meet the set requirements have been discarded. If you have any questions, feel free to email me.

ANB is my favorite here, that white jersey is excellent

Again, a big fan of using one of the minor colors in the logo more predominant in the jerseys.
I like WAC's design. I can see something like that on the ice. I'd buy that.
I kinda got the feeling that people were trying to go with the Minnesota Wild type jersey on this, in particular the red and greyish colored home jerseys (wait... are the DARK's the home, and white the ROAD"s like in the NHL?).
I'm not a fan of the Wild's jerseys at all. At least none of the darks jersey's they've worn since inception.
ANB's dark jersey would be a sweet third.
Love the creative process though. Wish I knew how to do this stuff and I'd love to kick some stuff around. Great job guys. Tough colors to work with though... IMHO.

Thanks for the kind words about my design, EA. Out of the designs I made, that one was easily my favorite.

Again, JUK really impressed me, and again, I have one small thing to criticize. The shoulders on the light jersey, to me, seems like it makes the jersey too red, and makes the jersey too inconsistent with the color scheme of the dark one. Not that it's bad for it to be different, I think the shoulders just make it a little too noticeably different. I'm not sure if it would look better with the shoulders' color changed or if the numbers were colored differently. A really great effort, despite my small criticism.

HKR's design is fantastic! Great use of the color scheme and just a real sharp look...you have my vote.

LNS---You had a real turd of a color palette to deal with here, but I really like the North Stars design with these colors. Too many designers tried to have a navy home jersey, and it totally steals away from the logo (which I'm not a fan of, either). But with what you had to work with, you designed a very classy jersey. Of course, I'm biased by being a North Stars fan, but the homage and simplicity works.

I have to say that LAR's design is very different, but I like it.
