IceHL JDC: New York Guardians

Time to pick jerseys! Choose up to 10 of your favorite New York Guardians jersey designs. All 18 sets are listed in random order; the VOTE button is at the bottom of the page. The jersey set that collects the most votes wins.
Results will be revealed after voting closes on Sun., Nov. 27 and will remain hidden until that time. (Notes: The 3-letter codes are meant to help distinguish each design and keep anonymity of designers. Also, don't worry if a design lacks polish. If necessary, the winning design will be cleaned up before it's declared "official.")

The comments will be open to allow for discussion of the merits of each design. To the designers, you may comment on your work but please do not break the anonymity. To everyone else, keep it civil. Attacks will not be tolerated. You can talk about what you like and what you don't like about them. But if you take the time to write a comment, please explain your positions. If you simply write, "X is cool, or X sucks"... don't expect to see your comment approved. That's all. Happy voting!

MAC- Awesomeness. My Fave jersey of all the concepts so far. Would've liked to have seen it with the main logo though.
NAJ- Nice white jersey.
I can picture NAJ's set as the home/road set, with MAC's dark as the alternate.

Designing a jersey for any NY team is a heavy task, you feel it should be so specific, congrats to all.

MAC's is very reminiscent of Team USA's soccer kits, which is never a bad thing! I don't think I've ever seen a sash on a hockey jersey, and it was definitely pulled off well here. I wish the shield logo were a little larger, but it's quite fantastic looking regardless. I really like the way FLS and DAK's white jersey incorporated the gold, although I'm not too crazy about FLS's waist stripes. Better than the Ducks', though. Not a huge fan of the jerseys that feature stars, either; I feel like subtlety and understatement are the way to go with Guardians jerseys.

I am glad to know people appreciate my designs. I was really pleased when Chris said to be creative with the jersey designs for the IceHL, I have a lot of ideas floating around in my head that are anything but traditional, and would most likely not garner good reviews if I applied them to NHL jerseys. I'm glad you appreciate me simply trying to think outside the box.
Thanks to those who liked my conception of what I think these jerseys should look like. I don't just design the jerseys blindly, I put effort into the little details. The NEW YORK across the chest was done in an attempt to represent the city, as well as looking nice. I made the decision of not putting NEW YORK or GUARDIANS on the chest of the Home jersey to keep a traditional feel in the sweater. I also don't believe in putting the city name on a home jersey, it's just so redundant. The home crowd knows what the team is. It makes more sense to wear the city on your jersey in an away game. Anyways, thank you again. This was in fact my favorite jersey to design! Congrats to all the other designers, these look great. Be sure to check out my other designs when they're up. Cheers.
