IceHL JDC: Boulder Beasts
Time to pick jerseys! Choose up to 8 of your favorite Boulder Beasts jersey designs. All 16 sets are listed in random order; the VOTE button is at the bottom of the page. The jersey set that collects the most votes wins.
Results will be revealed after voting closes on Wed., Dec. 28 and will remain hidden until that time. (Notes: The 3-letter codes are meant to help distinguish each design and keep anonymity of designers. Also, don't worry if a design lacks polish. If necessary, the winning design will be cleaned up before it's declared "official.")

Not really a fan of any of them. Although it might be partially because of the color scheme. I personally hate the color purple.
However, I voted for SDN. It at least has proper striping.
A lot of great designs. I particularly liked VAK and LNS. The black jersey's don't really fit well with the primary jersey, so I liked the purple ones better.
I don't mind the black as a primary color. It fits the image of the logo (mysterious, cloaked in darkness, a sense of dread), plus, I don't mind the Beasts being "the bad guys" of the IceHL. A little "Raiders mystique" would be welcome. I really like what SZM did. I like HAR's used of the orange. I'm a little disappointed no one used the orange as a primary color for the home jersey. It would have been cool to see what they would look like.
Overall, I think everyone did a terrific job. Best of luck to all the designers. I'll try to make sure the winning design has a winning team.
I like the mountains on GUP's jersey, but I wish the away jersey had the primary logo as well. The secondary logo is much better suited for the shoulders.
This logo set had the potential to have some of the best jerseys in the division but I think people got hung up on the mountain idea. For me personally, I had to eliminate all of the mountain trimmed jerseys. I think the strongest jerseys were the ones that hinted at the logo without actually using it in the design. WOJ nailed this jersey. HAR could have had a REAL strong concept if he continued the color from the shoulders all the way down the sleeve. The gray/purple backing under the sleeve numbers just seemed out of place. SDN was traditional and very clean. I like it but the numbering/name plate threw everything off for me. If the kerning was adjusted a bit and the black name plate had a bit more space then I'd say that SDN and WOJ were tied for the lead in this competition.
Don't take all this to heart. I'm just giving my opinion and trying to critique like I do in my job as a graphic designer.
I love the HAR jersey, the way they incorporated the orange accents onto the jersey. It is very unique looking without looking to minor league.
I really like GEA's design! It's nontraditional, which I think is a plus in the IceHL, but it's not so out there that it just doesn't work. The shape and angle of each "mountain" is different enough to keep it interesting, and the purple arms balance out the amount of black and purple very nicely. The three colors of the stripes go together really well, too, although I wonder if putting white as the middle color might have looked better on the away jersey. Maybe it wouldn't, though! SZM, GRS, and WOJ also had designs that were favorites of mine. Good job by everyone!
Funny thing... I always think mine will be the strongest and best looking jersey set when i send them to Chris... but when i look at all of the others designs i discover my contributions to be borderline weak... great job everyone i envy yout skills.
I hear you, GUP! When I'm designing, I can't see the teams wearing anything but my jerseys, but then I see everyone else's submissions and I just have to say, Oh, never mind then. It's a lot of fun designing the jerseys, but I'm really just curious to see how I've stacked up against the "pros" when the results end up being shown.
