IceHL JDC: Vancouver Lumberjacks
Time to pick jerseys! Choose up to 5 of your favorite Vancouver Lumberjacks jersey designs. All 21 sets are listed in random order; the VOTE button is at the bottom of the page. The jersey set that collects the most votes wins.
Results will be revealed after voting closes on Wed., April 4 and will remain hidden until that time. (Notes: The 3-letter codes are meant to help distinguish each design and keep anonymity of designers. Also, don't worry if a design lacks polish. If necessary, the winning design will be cleaned up before it's declared "official.")

The comments will be open to allow for discussion of the merits of each design. To the designers, you may comment on your work but please do not break the anonymity. To everyone else, keep it civil. Attacks will not be tolerated. You can talk about what you like and what you don't like about them. But if you take the time to write a comment, please explain your positions. If you simply write, "X is cool, or X sucks"... don't expect to see your comment approved. That's all. Happy voting!
Not all submissions are included in voting. Those that did not meet the set requirements have been discarded. If you have any questions, feel free to email me.

LMAO the GUP plaid!!!!! supreme!
Apologies if this was explained elsewhere, but I noticed that OWJ and HAR have the same alternate logo on the front of the jerseys. Where did it come from?
Canucklehead: It came from the same place as all of the other logos — the design contest from a few years ago. Every team has three logos — primary, secondary and wordmark. The two jersey designers you mentioned opted to go with the secondary logo. It's been tried plenty of times with other jersey designs and is perfectly acceptable.
I really appreciate the designers efforts here to introduce the wood and the trees into the jerseys. MDM, ANB, LNS, LAR are all interesting somehow. In terms of trying new things, I also have to give hommage to GUP and LYD, althoug I hate the visual of their works, it's absolutely new. I just would never buy such a jersey. I guess I'm a true son of fashion and scared of unusual.
I also like the very light blue about half of the designers used. It's quite uncommon on a jersey.
BEG looks like European soccer??
Finally, I like the idea of writing the team name at the bottom as MCB did (same for Seattle Aviators).
I hope more than anything that GUP's design wins this!
Lumberjacks=plaid... perfect GUP, you've earned my vote
Thanks everyone who have mentioned my plaid jersey set. I agree with the ones who think it is a really "ugly" jersey but when i got this in my head i just had to do it. Maybe could work as a 3rd or something...
So much to choose from! The "V" jersey might seem like the easy way out, but then again, it works really, really well! WJN, WAC and BMA all put together fantastic-looking jerseys. Some of the tree-themed jerseys are also quite good, with my favorites as LAR and MCB. I keep going back and forth in my head, wondering whether they're a little too minor-leaguey or if they actually fit the team perfectly. MCB's is a lot subtler, but LAR has the arm numbers inside a double-headed axe, I mean how cool is that?!
LNS also has a really creative design, and I like it, but with only five votes to give, it's just a little too busy for me to say yes to. As for GUP: I cannot in good conscience vote for your jersey, but bravo/a, good sir or madam. The plaid absolutely deserves some sort of recognition.
And in response to Pablo: Thanks for the mention! It definitely is absolutely new, and actually, I agree with you in saying that it doesn't look all that great. I couldn't come up with anything I really liked, so I figured I'd just swing for the fences, make something really out there, and see what people said! I don't think it's the ugliest hockey jersey ever made (at least I hope), but I wouldn't really want to see it actually used, either.
MCB was probably the best at adding a subtle hint of the trees as the shoulder/arm striping. Well executed.
