0297: Sunshine State Sweater

As most of the continent starts to feel the grip of winter, let's remind ourselves that it's almost 80 degrees in Florida right now. And while today may not be sunny, Caz Williams has a rather sunny jersey idea for the Panthers.

my first reponse was that i didn't like it. then i imagined it on the ice and i think it would look much better in real life.

I'm a long-time, die-hard Florida Panthers fan. I hate the circle logo, I hate the "FLA" patch (though the red outline is interesting) and yellow/gold (the Panthers use both) should remain strictly accent colors IMHO. When the Cats do inevitably re-introduce an alternate jersey, it needs to be navy.

I don't mean any offense to Caz (the jersey is very well put-together and he's definitely a talented designer), I just don't understand the love for this one... other than wide-spread desire to see more yellow/gold in the NHL and less red/navy.

i kind of love this. it's big and bold and unique.
don't know how well it would sell or even how it would look on the ice but i love the design.

Even though I think the Panthers should have red homes, something like this should definitely be a 3rd. I really like this.

I LOVE the Panthers have the red prominent sweaters now, but this would complete the set as a great 3rd. I'd seriously consider purchasing this sweater if it released. The colors are great, the liens are good, and just a unique look.

It's no mystery that the league needs more diversity in color, but the classic colors are there for a reason. Just this concept pulls off a nice color scheme that fits directly into the area it represents, and I genuinely think it'd be a great 3rd for the Panthers.
